Illinois State Police said they arrested three people and seized 62 pounds of cannabis worth $150,000 during an Interstate 70 traffic stop west of Vandalia on Oct. 11.

Police said a trooper made the stop at 4:37 p.m. because the car was following too closely in traffic. The trooper found the cannabis and arrested the driver, Youzhen Huang, 24, of Philadelphia on preliminary charges of cannabis trafficking, possession of cannabis, manufacture/delivery of cannabis and calculated cannabis conspiracy.

Police said Huang and two passengers were taken the Fayette County Jail. Charges for the passengers were not listed in the state police news release. The Fayette County State's Attorney's Office and Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force assisted with the investigation.
