Actor and musician Corey Feldman is facing a drug charge in Richland Parish.

Mangham Police Chief Perry Fleming told The News-Star the police department charged Feldman with one count of possession of marijuana and a traffic charge late Saturday.

Fleming said the charge is a misdemeanor that necessitates payment of a fine. Feldman was released without being booked into the parish jail.

Richland Parish Sheriff Gary Gilley said he learned from the Mangham Police Department that additional persons in Feldman's group will be facing other charges and will be booked into the Richland Parish Jail overnight.

Fleming said as many as six people will be facing additional counts, including band members.

Feldman was scheduled to appear at Live Oaks Bar and Ballroom in Monroe for a 9 p.m. show, part of his Heavenly US Angelic Tour.

Feldman is best known for roles in 1980s classics "Stand By Me," "Gremlins" and "The Goonies."

Per a post on the Live Oaks Facebook page at 10:14 p.m., Feldman's performance was cancelled, but he was still able to appear at the bar and hangout.

Feldman performed at the Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge on Friday.
