The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit arrested a man on multiple drug-related charges on Friday after discovering a marijuana cultivation enterprise.
According to deputies, authorities executed a search warrant for a house on Disston Avenue in Punta Gorda.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered 21 fully-grown marijuana plants weighing a total of 221.4 pounds, 31 marijuana clone plants, 10 small marijuana plants, and more than 72 grams of bagged marijuana. Authorities also discovered more than $2,300 is cash.
Deputies arrested 49-year-old Lazaro Banos on multiple charges related to the manufacture of marijuana.
Three others were also found in the home, including a child and a special needs adult. The Department of Children and Families were notified as a result.
