Two more houses with hydroponic cannabis operations, including one with a young child in residence, have been raided by police in the Sydney suburb of Blair Athol.

The raids bring to six in the past week the number of houses in the south-western suburb allegedly found with concealed cannabis growing operations.

Just after 8am (AEST) on Friday, two houses at The Kraal Drive and Mary Brown Place were raided, with hundreds of cannabis plants and sophisticated hydroponics set-ups seized, police said.

Two men at the first home and a man and woman from the second were arrested, while a young child was removed from the Mary Brown Place address.

Earlier this week, four other houses on those streets and one on Blair Athol Drive were also raided, with police estimating the cannabis seized there to be worth $8 million.

While police had yet to count the number of cannabis plants found on Friday, they estimate the haul will take the total to around $10 million.

The drugs are considered to be extremely high quality, with each marijuana plant worth more than $5,000, police say.

All the houses involved have been extensively renovated, police say, with false walls, hidden corridors and dedicated growing rooms created to hide the cannabis cultivation.

It would have cost the producers millions of dollars to set up, police say.

Police have thanked the "ears and eyes" of residents in helping them uncover the drugs operation.

Another house in the nearby suburb of Bradbury was raided by police last week.

As well as the four people arrested on Friday, a 51-year-old Bradbury man and a 54-year-old Blair Athol man have been arrested since the raids began.

Police have urged anyone suspicious of strange smells or noises, heavy fortifications or odd comings and goings at their neighbours' houses to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Television news on Network Ten Australia (5pm News 16 May) have aired a news story saying the cannabis siezed was of a highly potent super skunk with THC potency of 75% WTF!!!!!

The idiot reporter who said this, perhaps using police as the source, has just scared the hell out of 3 million people in Sydney. This idiot is inflaming reefer madness, and by broadcasting such a blatant lie has branded him an idiot for life!
