Police expect to charge a 43-year-old Dubbo woman following a drug raid on a house in Armstrong Crescent this week. The woman - the occupant of the house - was taken to Dubbo Police Station on Wednesday where she was assisting with inquiries. It is expected she will be charged with drug-related offences.
Dubbo detectives swooped on the house shortly before 1pm on Wednesday, acting on information they had received from the community. Cash and substances believed to be cannabis was allegedly seized from the house.
Police were seen carrying plastic bags filled with money and other items from the home. There have been several high profile drug raids in the Orana Local Area Command (LAC) this year, including several in Narromine, Wellington and in Dubbo.
The search warrant in Armstrong Crescent was the 26th for the year.
To date this year police have made more than 100 drug detections in the Orana LAC and have promised to continue their focus on stamping out drugs.
