I've been lurking the site for a while and finally chose to register.
Call it my mid-life crisis or whatever but after 20 years I decided to grow again.
Cannabis is not legal in my state but has been decriminalized to a degree.
Too old to try and find quality cannabis without either great expense or great risk. I consume to control my ADD, Anxiety and pain management (skydiving injuries).
Currently in the process of converting a portion of my workshop into a 6'x7' grow room. Using the hammer patterned survival blankets for reflectivity. Top fed DWC system of 4 10gal containers with 2 plants per container. 2 600w MH/HPS lamps air-cooled inline with my carbon filter and exhaust fan running into the attic and out the louvres.
Supplemental side lighting using 4 20w LEDs and 4 24w LEDS (with UVB).
Trying four different strains (2 of each plant)
C99 x Blueberry FAST
Power Africa x MK Ultra FAST
Jack Herer FAST
BIg Nugs FAST
All four strains have the same flowering time of 6-7 weeks.
I'm also considering some strains that have a longer flowering time like 9-10 weeks so that by the time the first plants are done drying and curing I have a second wave 3-4 weeks later. (Feedback is totally welcomed)
My grow plan is to top twice and minor defoliation to get 8 colas per plant using a modified Manifold followed by LST.
I'm not totally sure I've covered all my bases...what do you fine folk think?
