You are doing the right thing, talking to people and finsing out what might work for you.
The key to inside growing is creating a space where you can control temperature, humidity, and light within certain ranges. In my opinion, nothing beats growing in a dry basement or a spare bedroom. I find basements easier because you don't need air conditioning. Traditionally good flowering lights get warm. The new COB LEDs seem to address the heat problem at affordable prices.
As you get closer to picturing how you want to grow it helps to talk about your ideas, on your thread or another persons thread. A lot of people here have tried a lot of things

I guess I have just the right kind of basement (hope it's dry enough). Already working out the best way to put everything there
