Hi from the UK

Firstly, I have to say what a relief it is to find a site where discussion of medical marijuana is so straightforward, adult, honest and open. I have been reading my way through some of Cajun's posts and Sweet Sue's study lounge to find the information I need and that I haven't been able to find elsewhere, but am hoping to ask a few questions and refine my own plan of action, in the hope of using cannabis to treat my ovarian cancer. Here in the UK, even on specialist forums dealing with and inviting discussion of cancer, posts relating to cannabis are removed - doubtless for our own good (sarky comment). I'm having chemo which, to be fair, has knocked the disease back a lot, but not to the extent where I can have surgery.

I'm in my early 60's, and have never used cannabis before, so a whole new world of learning for me. Looking forward to learning and participating on this site - mainly as an asker of questions, mind you - but so good to know that the knowledge and help is out there.

Hi Improvise, and thank you. No, I hadn't found that thread so I have just been reading it; lots of useful stuff there!

Hello you may be interested as i`am to view an up and coming tv program about cannabis. Channel - itv border, Time 9pm, Monday 13th Nov, Titled- Gone to Pot Trip. Five famous faces embark on a road trip across America to explore and investigate legalization of marijuana, S1 Ep1 . Pat from eastenders lol is one of the faces ( don't know proper name ). Hopefully viewers can see that the pros out weigh the cons massively in my opinion, also great for the awareness of the Herb. regards

Thank you again! I'll get my daughter to record it for me.

Please could I ask - where is the best place on here to ask about the protocol for treatment? I don't want to disrupt any ongoing informational threads with personal questions. I think I see what I need to do, just want a bit of help to pull it all together.

Welcome Nixie :welcome:

For treatment you can post a question in: Medical Marijuana Treatment Someone there can help you or point you in the right direction.

I am glad you joined us & yes, we can help.

Ian

Just to follow up - Improvise, I watched the TV programmes which you recommended; I'm glad I did; they were more positive than not, even though aiming to be entertainment rather than documentary. Did you see them? There was that very moving moment where an athlete who classed cannabis alongside heroin and cocaine was brought face to face with a young girl who had seizures - the same as his own son - and had been greatly helped by cannabis - whereas the demonisation of cannabis meant that here in the UK his son was denied this help.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Welcome Nixie,

I am reading a book called Cannabis for Chronic Pain. Chapter 4 is called "Choosing Your Delivery Method". It explores the many ways to deliver your cannabis dose. I recommend this for beginners and old dogs too. It is well written and informative.

I got it out of the local library.

Peace. :peace:

Hi Nixie - welcome from me too!

My best advice re cancer specific dosing would be to ask SweetSue directly in the Base Treatment Regimen For Cancer thread (sorry can't work out how to link to it using the phone app .).

This will enable you to milk Sue's deep knowledge as it pertains to your specific circumstance.

Hi Nixie
I have just joined this site. Have a friend who is 60, has OC 3c for 3 years now.
a few months ago she got acites and it is very uncomfortable for her and her health is not holding. She just received permission to get medicinal cannabis and I will start to make RSO.
I wish you full recovery and back to good health.
I firmly believe that cancer can be cured.
Regards
Paul

Hi Pauljohn

Thank you for your reply and your positivity. I too had ascites - it was drained and what a difference that made! Then chemotherapy reduced it further. If your friend has not had help with ascites she should demand it. What treatment has your friend had so far, prior to starting cannabis?

My story continues in the Medical Marijuana Forum under Cancer Healing, the Ovarian Cancer thread then migrates to the Base Treatment Regimen for Cancer in the same section; it is worth reading not so much because of my contributions but because of the replies and help I have received, which will apply equally to your friend and yourself as care-giver. Good luck with the healing project - and yes, I agree - the more I learn about it, the more I realise cancer can be cured, or at least controlled in the long term, rather than with the short term desperate later stages of chemo - though I think it takes a whole lifestyle approach to give the best chances of success - cannabis, diet, attitude.

You will be ahead of me in that I am only just starting my grow - I was intending just to use CBD as that is what is legally available here - but I realise now I need THC as well. CBD is particularly recommended as part of the protocol for ovarian cancer, though, to stop the spread.

Last thing - find Sweet Sue's posts and keep following her! She has the answers!
