First Grow Black Indica & CB Dutch Treat

First grow, still learning and hope to keep learning for a long time. Im trying to keep this grow as organic as possible. Ive chosen CKS strains Black Indica and CB Dutch Treat for their THC and CBD levels as I use for chronic back pain and sleep issues due to back pain. I purchased 5 seeds of each and started with just 2 of each first.

Grow is currently in flowering, switched Jan.29 2017 and all plants were in veg for 5 weeks. This is an indoor soil grow. Ive built a grow closet in one of my spare bedrooms.

Seedlings started life in 1gal airpots with Farfad starter/seedling soil. Then were transferred to 3gal fabric smart pots once roots reached edges of airpots. I switched to a home mix soil once in the 3gal pots. It used Farfad organic urban garden soil, bone and bone meal, perlite, compost, dehydrated kelp, and worm castings.

Lighting began with a single Mars Hydro 300w led full spectrum light then I added supplemental cfl lighting on the sides when the plants grew.

Closet consists of walls covered in reflective insulation, 2 small fans for air in and out, digital humidity and temp reader, and my diy scrog net. RH in closet is between 30-50% depending on when I water. Temps are 20-25 c lights off and on. No pests and I water with 6.5ph dechlorinated water.

I haven't had any pest issues and Im currently going into week 4 of flowering. I dont use any chemical ferts. I have used kept tea and worm casting tea during veg and now use molasses in flowering

All plants were topped once and lst under the scrog net. I used one top to clone, youll see the photos in here. Also one of my Black Indicas was a runt so I decided to experiment with it by mainlining and its been doing well. Youll also see a couple cameo shots of my sweet potato plant I started at the same time

Here are some photos from beginning to where i am now. Ive tried to keep them in order. In the later photos the runt mainline Indica is missing as Ive placed in under a seperate light. I will update with photos of that soon.

This is my first grow attempt, how do they look compared to most soil grows?

Also pictured is my runt black indica that I decided to mainline. It got 2 extra weeks of veg to catch up only flipped to flower about a week a go

Update time. Almost through week 4 of Flowering on my 2 CB Dutch Treat and single Black Indica. They are looking good (at least to me) and the pistils are really growing well. The smell is very sweet and pleasant.

My mainlined Black Indica is in week 2 of flowering and it is really stretching and filling out. It needs more light though, currently under a single 50w full spectrum screw in bulb. Working to get a new light and space for it as I cant cram it in the closet with the other plants as it'll get drowned out

Update time

Ordered a Fusion Hut 2x4x5 tent from growlights.ca on Monday and had it together and in my grow room by Thursday

Still currently have my 2 CB Dutch treat and 1 Black Indica in my grow closet under my Mars300 and they will stay there till harvest.
How they look now.

I did however move my mainlined Black Indica from out in the open room to in the tent. It is still under a single 50w full spectrum bulb until my next Mars300 shows up next week. My eventual plan is to have 2 tents, 1 for veg and 1 for flowering but for now the single tent and closet will prevail .

My mother is ready to have some clones taking so Im hoping to get to that this weekend. She is growing good under an aquarium hood t5ho setup. Its a single 36" 6000k and single 36" Roseta bulb, seems to be working

Weekly Update halfway though week 6 on the girls in the closet and they are starting to put on some weight.

I have added a tea made with banana peels to my watering schedule to hopefully help as I am not using any nutes with this grow

Its seems my Black Indica has develope a set of cola twins...

My mainlined Black Indica is still early in its flower but now with a new Mars300 light its starting to flower beautifully.

My momma plant is growing well, Ive decided to top her to keep height controlled

About one more week to go for my Black Indica in the closet before harvest

A couple more weeks for the CB Dutch Treat, Im happy with the bud formation

My mainlined Black Indica still has a few weeks to go but its coming a long nicely

I know I could have had larger results with using nutes but for my first grow I wanted to keep it simple. Next grow I think im going to use General Organics Go Box system

Harvest Update....
so Ive harvested and dried one of my Black Indicas (the scrog grow from closet) Im happy with the turn out for my first grow. The single plant yeilded 23g dry. My mainlined Black Indica has fewer but larger colas and I think itll yield over an ounce, its still a week out from harvest.

My two CBDutch Treats are also close to harvest, ill have an update with them soon.
