SO to start of this grow is a bit interesting. I am growing on my patio, in a box I constructed that is attached and sealed to the smaller of the two sliding glass doors.
I bought a 2 * 4 * 5 grow tent and constructed a box to fit around it. I then sealed the box up using 1 inch insulation board and insulation foam. For the start my biggest issue has been keeping it warm when it snows but I know moving forward cooling it will be more of an issue.
I cannibalized a trashcan to hold the outtake fan and carbon filter outside on the patio with protection from the elements.

They really took off right out the gate and every time I come back to look I am impressed with their growth. they are weeds I guess...

Here they are ready for the replant, I had watered the day before and the soil was already bone dry and they were starting to droop

I am running this as a SCROG and today was the day I added my screen. I constructed it using string and I am hoping it is stiff enough to train them well, but I think it should do alright.

The foliage under the screen is very thick, but since this is my first grow I Don't think I am going to trim fan leaves since I don't think I need to worry about humidity / air movement since I can barely keep it up to 50% running a humidifier full blast 24/7...

Any words of advice or general wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking all!

So I switched to 12/12 today. Here is what they look like, I had hoped to let the one on the right hit the screen a bit more, but realized I will have trouble with stretch on the other two if I wait much longer.

I pulled them back under again before the switch as well.

Successfully switched to 12/12 and the 600watt HPS (although my timer doesn't appear to move the wattage I need even though it is rated for 1800... so I am doing it manually until I figure that out.)

Since I already know height will most likely be an issue I trimmed a decent number of fan leaves from under the canopy to try and reduce stretch.

Using some "creative" training techniques to over come height diff issues caused by I am assuming unequal light access. (they all get equal water and nutes...)
Those couple burned leaves are from waiting one cycle too long to raise my light up...

Lollipopping underneath and just generally keeping it clear (in progress photo).
