No nutes yet

This is one of my first posts but have received a bunch of info to start this grow on these forums. So thank you all!! Well this is my first attempt at growing and so far I must say it's very educational. Im not a big smoker at this point of my life but I always have hobbies. Before starting this one I was watching too much TV because I didn't have a recent hobby to keep my mind occupied and then I started growing.

My cab is small at 2' x 2' x 18" mylar lined / 209 cfm 4" exhaust into 4" scrubber rated for 300cfm. I keep finding ways to shove more lights into this thing and the temps have been ok since the fan is at the right spot and the passive air intake is ok. I may make the intake bigger if I can't keep temps under control. The strains were picked because they are both to stay under 2'. That is also why they are in 1 gallon instead of 3. But just in case, I have a tent ordered so I can move things around if need be. Im not too worried about yield for many reasons but mostly because if I don't expect to much then I won't be let down. I also only smoke 1/8 a month when I smoke. So here are some pics of the cab and my little girls!!

My cab is just something I had laying around that I converted. At lights out I have black out curtains that cover it.

Im sure I'll have some questions along the way and I will thank everyone in advance for their help! My first question is that I am thinking about giving them a 1/4 strength shot of FF Veg nutes next watering which will be day 20, is that a good idea or should I wait till week 4?

Another question. About 10min after watering the plants droop. As I have read over watering is a common issue with new growers. I was under the impression that meant too frequently but does it also mean too much at once? Ive been using 32oz of water and get about 4oz of water coming out bottom of fabric pot. I've been watering about every 3 days when I can feel no moisture when I put my finger down to my second knuckle. The plant has always come back to perky by the next day. I do water them in the evening a few hours before lights out could that be the reason? The water is at room temperature. Thanks in advance.

Day 21

Noticed that the first leaf at the very bottom of the +Speed auto has a burnt tip and is turning yellow. Not sure way? I did not use any nutes before the point I noticed it. If anyone reads this and can offer an explanation it would be appreciated! Other than that things seem to be ok. Watered today which is a day earlier than usual but I guess that is expected since they are growing pretty quick.

First sign of sex on Blue Himalaya

Hi Droopy - Looks like your girls are doing great. It is not uncommon for the very bottom leaf to turn yellow. This isn't a sign you are doing anything wrong. You could pinch it off if you like.

Just keep an eye at the other leaves to make sure it isn't something else.

For determining when to water you can gently lift the pots. If they feel light they need water if they are still heavy then wait.

Thanks Troy!!! I ended up going with a 2x4x6 with 310 watts (actual) of led. Just waiting on the exhaust and scrubber to come in for this tent. I was going to pull them from the cabinet but instead I ordered a second set so I can run them both and if anything would happen to one of them I have a back up. I do have a question about connecting the two lights. They are 2 different brands and wattage, would it be ok to daisychain them? All they say on them is there can only be 1000 watts in the chain. Not a big deal if I can't but it would clean up some wires if I could so I figured I would ask.

Ok not sure if I'm over worrying about my girl but the yellowing on the very first leaves has continued and now the first true leaves are showing something. These just have a few spots and the leaves feel dry. Is it n deficiency? Heat problem? Too much light? Not enough light? Not enough water? The one that is having this issue is the +Speed Auto which is flowering as you can see in the above pictures. I'm leaning towards a nitrogen deficiency just because I didn't feed them any nutes till just this week and it's already in flower so she could have sucked all the nutes out of the soil earlier than I expected. But I've seen too many people go crazy on nutes before really diagnosing the problem and then all of a sudden they did 10 things and then you don't know what the problem is. I am sticking to my feeding schedule for now which tonight I just gave them their second feeding of 1/4 veg nutes. Next week I plan to up them to 1/2 for one week before going into bloom nutes. Any help would be appreciated... This may all be normal and I'm just being overly worried....lol

Day 25 and the day of naming!!! It's over due and I had to name my girls today so from this point forward they will be named as follows:

+Speed Auto = Nova - After the super hero that is faster than light just like Nova's growth rate

Blue Himalaya Auto = Angelina - like Jolie because she has a super plump bottom, sexy as hell!!!

Things are going pretty well. They are putting on about an inch a day at this point. Tomorrow they get a plain watering. Then I think I'm going to give Nova a bit of veg and bloom nutes because she is flowering pretty well at this point. Angelina will just get a stronger veg nute without the bloom because she goes a couple weeks longer. Here are some pics and thanks for stopping by!!!

Got the new tent all finished tonight. I'll probably be moving the girls over tomorrow. Here are the stats on the new space. Can someone possibly tell me how many plants I can grow with this set up? I'm thinking about getting another Sygavled so that would be 474 actual watts. And if it matters I will be growing mostly autos for awhile because that's all the seeds I have. Thanks in advance.

Cheap 2'x4'x6' tent
Sygavled 300w LED - 132 actual
Viparspectra 450w LED - 210 actual
Vivosun 4" Exhaust fan - 210cfm
Vivosun 4" scrubber - rated up to 300cfm
4" Inline air intake fan

Pretty cheap stuff but I'm just getting started and didn't want to dump a bunch in if I don't end up continuing. Here are some pics and thanks for stopping by!!
