:welcome:

Stick with me on this fun adventure as I attempt my very first Cannabis grow. I have done so much research over the last 5 years that between my excitement and the enormous amount of information out there, I hope to get some decent results like I have seen from other growers.

*This grow journal is intended as a learning tool for myself and hopefully any other growers out there that will benefit from my mistakes and my success as well. The cannabis I am growing is 100% legal medical marijuana (finally I can grow pot!!!!!)*

Here are the details of my set up:

(1) Lights: 2 generic eBay 1000 watt full spectrum led lights (something around 250 actual watts each)
(2) Tent: Mars Hydro 2.3x2.3x5.5 feet.
(3) Exhaust: 6" extractor fan (don't recall the exact CFM but it moves more air than needed, a lot more), variable speed fan controller, large carbon filter, ducting
(4) Pots: 3 gallon fabric
(5) Air movement: 1 small white clip on fan blowing inside. Adding another once plants are larger
(6) Seeds: Crop King Autoflowering White Widow (ww) and CBD Cheese (cc) - 1 of each
Soil: 40-50% Perlite and 50-60% Promix
Nutes: Foxfarm trio - yes, I will be using nutrients during this grow. It seems there are mixed feelings about using nutes on auto flowering cannabis. I will be extremely conservative!
Water: PH'd to 6.5 (tap water)

Have I forgot anything anyone would like to know about the set up

Apparently I can not upload photos from my mobile so I will add the set up pictures as well as pictures of the first 10 days from seed very soon!

Sounds like you have everything you need. Best of luck. Never grown autos so don't know about nutrient requirements but if you go slow, add as needed and cut back when not i'm sure you will be fine. A TDS meter may help to check run off but again if you are being conservative and keep a close eye on them they will let you know when they have had enough.

This is the complete tent set up ready to!

Day 2 - Nov 2/17

Time for the new babies to nest in a nice warm/dark environment to germinate. I have placed the seeds on top of a plug in cat bed lol. Did the trick.

Day 4 - Nov 4/17

Here you can see the seeds have germinated. They could have been planted on day 3 but I was waiting for my fabric pots to arrive and I wanted to plant them in their final container.

Day 4 - Nov 4/17

Planted seeds into their new homes (about 50% perlite and 50% Pro mix soil). I added a bit more perlite than I have seen many people use on their autoflower plants because I want to use some nutrients along the way. Placed a dome on top and then put them into the tent. Left lights off until sprouts popped out of the soil.

Day 6 - Nov 6/17

My babies popped out of the ground on day 5. Left the humidity dome on for 1 day then noticed some humidity on the leaves and took the domes off in the morning on day 6.

Day 11 - Nov 11/17

I raised the lights a bit as the girls seemed like their serated edges were turning up a bit. The LEDs are pretty intense. Also gave them 500ml of water each with 1/8 tsp big bloom and 1/16 tsp cal mag. I intend on these light feedings every 3rd watering unless they tell me they need more or less.

Day 12 - Nov 12/17

- The girls were looking a tad droopy today and the pots were very light. I added 1/2 tsp molasses into 2.5 L water and gave them both a large drink until there was about 5% run off. Here they are after watering:

Day 13 - Nov 13/17

Nothing new to report other than that I moved the lights up even further. You can see in the attached pic it's about 3' up. That's the most I will go and move them closer as the girls get bigger. I should really name them. Hmmmm. White Widow will be named after the goddess of the moon Artemis and Cheese CBD will be named Pinky for Pinky and the Brain.

Here are the girls:

**Posts will be about every 3 days now unless there is anything major to report. I suspect it is just a waiting game, fuss with them as little as possible and do a little bit of training when the time is right. I have not decided if I am going to top ... It will totally depends on how vigorous they are growing when they are at <21 days old**

Subbed. Your setup looks real good. You should have plenty of light for those two.

I'm also growing some candy cane autos from cks. They are in 100 % coco though.

Thanks FatNeil. I have also subscribed to your thread. Looking forward watching your girls as they grow up just a little bit ahead of mine.
