MrCanada Gets Back In The Garden

Hey everyone. For those of you I have not run into before here on the forums, thanks for coming. The last 6 months for me growing wise has been less than ideal. I fought thrips for four months, which diseased my plants. That was very difficult to figure out. During this time I injured myself seriously at work and required surgery which has taken me from my therapy for three months.

Now that I am better, everything is scrapped, cleaned, and ready to get back going I am ready to post my journal. My goal is to create a two tent perpetual garden. I currently veg in a 4x4 under two mars 300s. My flower tent is a 4x8 and currently only has a mars 1600. Once I get a couple harvests I will be replacing the mars with COBs. Just not an option right now. For now I will just do a single grow journal.

To start out I have planted 6 seeds. Two Russian snows, two jack herers, and two lemon headband kush. All feminized. Everything will be grown in an organic supersoil, which I then beefed up and baked for 30 days. I will only be watering, and doing organic teas which I will brew. It will also be a sea of green style grow in 2gals. I plan on growing out these six plants and cloning hopefully 20 plants. I will do some very light LST soon to get some light to the inter nodes.

I am fighting a cold so my brain isn't functioning well. I will fill in anything I have missed along the way. Here are some pictures of where the plants are at (today). Along with my organic supplies.

These two Russian snows got a 1 week head start. They have conveniently almost let the other seedlings catch up though!

I will do a spinosad treatment before flower.

The soil had some really nice healthy fungi breaking down everything over the past four weeks. I am excited to see how it turns out. I transplanted the plants into these 2 gals (one, 1 gal) yesterday. They have responded well. Also they have some minor wind burn from the fan but other than that, just some purple stems, looking good otherwise.

Thanks to anyone who decided to come check out what I have going on. Take it easy everyone! ✌️✌️

Thanks buddy! Recovery is getting there no complaints! Forward rolling!

Shucks man that sucks. Get on them quick. You have access to spinosad? I tried been oil, it helped. It took three heavy spinosad treatments to get them killed. Maybe winter coming helped too. What point in your grow are you?

Thanks for stopping by excited to have ya in here!

Decided to head down to Costco today and picked up this LED shop light so that I don't have to take pictures through LED glasses anymore ... Works pretty good.

The plan was to flip them this weekend...

Ugh

How does DE work on them? I was going to top the containers off with a bunch...

Personally have never used it but I have heard it's very helpful. I would spray with neem, or spinosad if you can. Get some sticky traps and put down the DE. Are you noticing symptoms?

Hello to all reading! Today's week three, so I figured I would do a picture update.

The girls have responded pretty well to the transplant five days ago and are starting to really stretch out. Everything's looking healthy. I have a compost tea brewing with some water, coconut water, EWC, yucca, silica, and kelp meal. I will most likely feed the soil tomorrow or the next day depending on how quick the medium dries up. Other than the baking of the soil it has not had any feeding yet. I think they're a going to respond well.

Almost ready for some extra light LST.

One IMPORTANT shoutout to all my friends here. Truenorthseedbank is having a boxing week sale NOV20-27 40% off all genetics. I'm going to go on a humboldt shopping spree.

Well we're almost at the one month point from popping out of the soil. Most of the plants cotyledons are still large, green, and healthy. Typically for me they have fallen off by now. Must be a genetic thing. Anyhow I did a light soil feed with the compost tea. Aside from that today I started some LST just to hit those internodes a bit. I am sure by tonight the plants will have un-cuffed themselves.

And pictures...

As expected the plants bursted out of their cuffs by morning. They reaaaaalllly responded well to the compost tea. Bacteria must have been hungry! Will have some picture updates later in the weekend. They're hitting their stride now!!

Day 26 update. Everything here is more or less on cruise control. I did a little LST yesterday. Internodes are starting to stretch out for that light. I am not going to top for a bit. Here's some photos.

Not a lot to update with today, but being 1 month from popping out of soil it seemed fitting! Happy birthday girls!!

Plants are growing out of their 2 gals. Roots popping out of the bottom, and they are drinking up 500ml of water every 2 days. Internode growth is on point. Health on point. Soil on point. Cruise control. Should be cloning soon.

I decided the one Russian snow, and one jack herer runt are going to be thrown into 3 gals and flowered while I clone the remaining 4. Perpetual monthly 25 plant harvests are the goal, but don't have the equipment yet.

Here's some pics for the veg nerds. They are bent just doing some extra light LST.

Transplanted on Sunday to 3gals. Roots were all poking. They were ready. All responded well. Two jacks still dealing with some shock. Everything else is flourishing.
