First 420 Grow: Short Stuff Auto Gorilla OG X Tha Shiznit, Remo Nutes Coco Airpots

Hey Everybody

This will be my first grow journal on the 420 site. I'm not new to Growing I've been growing for several years now and I've been growing Autos last couple years. So I have the opportunity to grow some pre-release seeds and I thought that I'd run them here on the 420 magazine site because I intend to enter the plant of the month competition in the future. And I feel it's a good idea to post grow Journals if you're going to be entering contests on a site.

Autoflowers can get quite large in my environment so I am planning on setting a record for this strain.

Tha Shiznit record 500+ grams
Gorilla OG 400+ grams

I would prefer to hit a pound on one of these plants but I'll be happy if I get my average 13 Oz. At least that's my average When I Grow anything that is labeled XL.

I've done a couple runs of the Remo nutrients lately and I'm kind of liking them. So I think I might be switching over to Remo permanently from General Hydroponics. One of the reasons is I just find it so easy to measure everything the same amount and I don't need to pH anything because it comes out just perfect in my background water.

Okay, my seeds cracked nicely and I went ahead and planted them directly into Coco. I flush the Coco with about 5 gallons of nutrient water with 5 mil each of Remo micro grow kelp and MagNiCal.

Sorry about the LED lighting I was just in kind of a rush, tomorrow I'm going to add some Pebbles on top around those little plastic cups.

Okay, after 48 hours in a cup I transplanted straight into my final pot of Coco. I don't have pictures of the seeds but they cracked nicely with a little Tap Root point just starting out I put that point up about quarter inch below the surface. And about 48 hours later the seedlings were up.

I like to use about 2 inches of clay Pebbles on top of my pots just to keep things out of my Coco and to allow for some more aeration as the water Cascades over the Pebbles.

Okay, been about six days and the seedlings have had one feeding with the balance of the Remo nutrients that I use to flush the Coco. That was 5 mil per gallon of the four basics, pH'd to about 6.2.

Tomorrow I'll mix up a batch of nutrients with 6 ml per gallon of the four basic Remo nutes.

Day 12

Well seedlings are doing quite well they are hanging out in the shadows of the Amnesia CBD that I've had to put a couple extra lights on. It's getting rather large for an Autoflower.

And then one of that Amnesia CBD by Dinafem.

I have a couple pictures from December 11th, it's clear that I have one phenotype that is taller and faster growing and another one that likes to stay short and bushy. I've done a little bit of training on the taller one and I'll get some pictures of couple days or what it looks like currently.

Day 23

So I believe this is day 23 both plants seem just a little bit short to me although I have been pulling and tying that one down quite a bit. Hopefully this faster growing phenotype doesn't peter out quicker I'd like to see at least a couple feet of stretch here.

Well heck, I guess it's been a while. Turns out winter got a little exciting around the Jingo house. We decided to have our Christmas dinner early on the 22nd which was good because my wife came down with pneumonia on the 23rd. Poor women had to spend the entire Christmas holiday in the hospital. It's disappointing that her immune system hasn't come back after 5 years I really hope it comes back someday. Every time she gets pneumonia it does a little bit of damage to her lungs and it cost about $2,000.

Anyway I got some pictures here and I am very happy with the results on the plant that I trained. It's hard to tell sometimes when you've never grow on a strain whether or not you can get away with significant training or not. In this case that's exactly what it demanded.

They are stretching a little bit every day and I expect at least another 50% in growth. If I'm lucky and get a double on that trained plant and I'll be well over a pound and that's what I'm looking for is to go way over a pound.

Day 38

Sorry I've been absent, and not really updating this thread. I am really happy that the plant I trained, the faster growing of the two plants is shaping up exactly the way I want. My lights are perfectly suited to grow a plant about 36 around with about 36 in of canopy. So that's where I get my biggest yields. The door is 36" wide.

I'm really hoping I hit least a pound on the bigger of these two plants, I want short stuff to have a few monsters out there.

Current feed Remo

Grow 5mil per gallon

Micro 7 mil

Bloom 7 mil

Cal/mag 7 mil

Sm90 2 mil

Day 43

I'm really liking the shape of the bigger plant. I'm so happy I did some training I had no idea she would stretch so much afterwards. I did a little bit more than LST I went and pinched all the stems that I pulled over and tried to make some manifolds out of them and most of them are looking pretty good.

I haven't done a whole lot with the bushy phenotype yet, I've been waiting to see if she can flop outward and take care of a little bit of the lighting needs for the lower buds. If she doesn't start to flop out soon off thinner out pretty relentlessly and put some steaks in a pull her little bit wider.

I'm feeding Remo

8 calmag

8 bloom

2 sm-90

Pictures may be out of order but that's kind of the way things are with 420 and their clones these days.

The bigger of the two plants is really starting to stretch now! It's funny that I say the stretch is just starting because she is already a pretty good-sized Autoflower. Anyway here's a picture of her that door is 36 in wide is 65 gallons.

Okay, here we go. I have been waiting to take a picture of this big plant until I have a little bit more space to work with her in my work area. I've done a bunch of thinning today and honestly I don't know if I can even really tell.

I decided to switch out of the Remo nutrient line and back into the General Hydroponics line for the rest of this grow. I had been finding I was getting too much nitrogen and not really enough of the micronutrients. The problem I was having is with a very large Plant you have to feed more on the Remo schedule, but this plant wasn't really caring to have more nitrogen. So I have a lot more experience with General Hydroponics and I figure I can finish her better with those nutrients.

So that is a standard 32 gallon trash can on wheels, I left at 4 a little bit of comparison. The airpot is about three and a half gallons.

Obviously I'm going to set a record that's going to be hard to beat. But I don't think I'm going to end up with a plan that I can move around to get a good enough picture for any competitions .

I guess it's been awhile since I've been around. Once the plants get to a certain size I guess I lose interest in hauling them out to get pictures. anyway, I'm getting very close to harvest on these two. Unfortunately, they are not going to have any kind of appearance that I would like for plant of the month so I haven't really been trying with them.

Well I went out to find my smaller plant half-broken today as the buds got too heavy for the stems. She really kind of quit drinking water a couple days ago so Harvest Time for her.

The bigger of the two plants I think still has some time, I've really been lazy about pictures it's just been there so darn large I haven't really been able to motivate myself to take some photos.

So two of the bud shots are from the smaller plant out of my work area I haven't started to trim her yet.

Well I guess I can't upload photos anymore with the official 420 app so I'm just going to bail on this diary all together
