Introduction/Background
Hello and welcome to my first grow/journal...thanks for visiting! Before getting into things let me give you a little background. I have limited experience helping and observing some very advanced indoor grows and as a result I got the itch. I am definitely a beginner and looking forward to growing, learning and hopefully helping others along the way.
Below you will find an overview of my planned/proposed setup as well as a section where I'm hoping to get some input before making final decisions. Please give any feedback and ask any questions that come to mind. I hope you enjoy!

Planned Setup
Space: 4' x 4' x 80" (h) Mylar Tent (Flower) and a 2' x 4' x 60" (h) Mylar Tent (veg)
Plant Count: 4 ideally with the possibility of 5 from time to time. I plan to germinate 7-10 regular seeds at a time, however, I will be starting with 4 clones for this grow while I germinate and veg purchased seeds for my 2nd grow.
Strains: I have not decided on strains of the clones for the first run but the first run of purchased seeds (2nd grow) will be a mystery 3-pack from Golden Coast Genetics, which I won't know until I receive as they are being added to an order as a promotion and I will also pop four (4) BG 91' (ONYCD x Bubblegum Chem) from Top Dawg Seeds.
Water: RO System
Lighting: please see below under 'Needs Input'
Flower Tent Environmental Controls:
-Air-Cooled with Vortex 347 S-600 6" Fan Pulling Air (will add Carbon Scrubber for flowering)
-Two (2) 6" Hurricane Clip Interior Fans
-ThermoPro TP60 Digital Hydrometer for monitoring
-Will purchase humidifier and/or dehumidifier as needed
Veg Tent Environmental Controls:
-6" Hurricane Clip Interior Fans; will I need more than this?
-ThermoPro TP60 Digital Hydrometer for monitoring
Needs Input
Lighting: My tentative plan is to purchase two (2) 800w LED (can provide specifics of units minus brand if needed) for the flower tent and one (1) 800W LED of the same brand for the veg tent. Please let me know thoughts/suggestions on these choices...I'm open to HPS/MH but leaning towards LED.
Medium: Organic Soil; leaning towards Promix w/perilite, vermiculite and possibly some worm castings but I'm looking for suggestions/mixes. I want something that will be easy for a beginner to manage.
Nutrients: Organic; leaning to AR but looking for suggestions...I will be utilizing an organic compost tea regiment provided by a friend while I become more versed in teas.
Planter Sizes: My plan is to move from small planters to 5 gallon (underfilled for veg) and then 7 gallon (for flower); how does this sound? Could I go bigger or would it not make much of a difference with space limitations.
Scrogging: Planning on scrogging while in final weeks of veg and a second tier of scrog during flower; please provide thoughts/recommendations on timing etc.
CO2: I'm open to purchasing a CO2 feeding element of some type; please provide thoughts/recommendations on necessity and method. This may have to wait until my 2nd grow due to budget constraints.
Timing: My plan is to receive clones on or just before Jan. 1st and veg for an undetermined amount of time with a focus on maximizing yield while considering space constraints. Please provide thoughts and feedback. Seeds will be popped and begin germination on or around December 20th.

BudzFreak and very happy you've joined! I just took a look at your grows; I loved the DIY carbon filter. As for my grow, the LED decision has officially been made...I will receive my first 800w this week for the 4'x2' veg tent which will also be arriving arriving this week. I will provide a few flower tent setup pictures by this time next week. The excitement is growing!!
