this will be my 4th grow on however this is not my first or 4th rodeo!
I have put forth a helping hand in a few gardens both s.f. and u.p. in michigan!!!
this grow however serves to both stack some meds and also get my tents going into perpetual grow as I have had to move on main land a few times,I am here to stay!!!

here is my tent 2x4 ..I will also have a 2x2 I used in my last grow,it is on it's way from the mainland. takes a good 4 weeks to get freight ship box here cross country and on to a shipping vessel to hawaii. cost 3,000$ last time for our move to mpls,minnesota. a lot of our stuff was messed up,all boxes rushed and some clothes had holes from rats or insects eating them on boat. crazy right?
only one company on the island,kinda what sucks here is not a lot of choices in companies,whether shipping or just cable internet..!!
here is my first tent with some cfls on the purple urkle and super fruit that popped first!

Hello to all! has been a hectic week or two in tent. we had some mold powder issues with cups i was using.I had been waiting on an order and thought it would have arrived.due to this,I had to cut cups at bottom,look for roots,make sure those were not affected...and transplant. a whole lot of cleaning, bleaching...and drying out the tent. humid temps here in hawaii has also put a turn in my usual habbits.but this is what we are thrown with and something about controlled environments! lol
So off I went to get fan vents even though I have all these supplies on mainland coming from freight...
got my new light which will be backed by one more 300 watt..
I started easy on veg mode,however after a week today I decided full spectrum to give em a push,anyone feel this is bad,should i have given em a week more in veg light? i have not gone into 12/12 but just light mode wise.
here are the plants no sex parts yet,some topped some staying untouched..

some coco soaking and was cleaned..needed as last time this really fucked with my seedlings. hope some fish fert starts em out until first feeds..

I have square cloth bags coming,10 0f em,3 gallon. dif. companies so I can see which I dig.

Alright!! we are moving along and picking up the pace!
been a hectic week with battling humidity,after the last attempt(my first in hawaii) I learned I will be battling this and should have honestly had my fans here a month ago,but like many things gone wrong..I'm sticking it out and this time it will stick! not giving up on these hearty strains!
so after 80-90 humidity and root problems two weeks ago, im at 65-70 with only one fan! temps in 75-80 and I know with my exhaust fan coming this will all be under raps!
lets go!
got some supplies on way...
10 fabric pots,went 3 gallon as ones I bought were 5 gallon size and that was not gonna flow yet.maybe next grow ill do 5 5gallons.still waiting on one 6 inch fan,waiting on rocks (hydroton) for my final mix..! waiting on more nutes,additives.
here are the ladies,much happier,snipped the bad leaves and problem areas..
first feeding of 2 mls micro/mag 8 mls of fish fert.
finally getting good water feedings in as well ,more consistent with each plant and what they want instead of feeding em all at once,and watering at once.thats not what the plants want,so I learned that his week. more than one strain,You need to give them individually what they want..

and the new fan,got a great deal!

welcome to the new year! It looks like Im playing around with guessing which are my males and females...
the sizes are sooooooo off it is not possible these are females unless I got lucky with some beefy phenos!!

the rest of my orders come in tonight,10 lbs coco coir and bloom nutes from gh.
looking like males no sex parts...but im throwing this out there since males like to tower over the females to pollinate..
here are the rest of the gang...look at the sizes.!!

I will be transplanting the rest in party cups to more of the folgers 1 gallons,which worked quite handy in this crunch waiting for supplies.makes me mad to know I have a whole other tent set up at home in mpls,hope to get it sent!
here is one more look at the progression,also my new light.
I will be flipping soon,thinking next week.Hope to be on the money about the males.!

can tell my humidity has dropped huge! not set yet though,I will be buying a dehumidifier at wallys!

hello and welcome back!!!!
we flipped the ladies (and men) on the 15th! we are now at the 27th 12 days out from flip ,here is what the ladies look like. sorry I didnt get more flicks of the males.right now they are of no interest to me. maybe later on when I get into breeding. here are some small tips for reg. seeds. (males and females)

1) they are much much bigger than females. the stems,leaves,trunk everything is bigger! however you will notice they do not put out a lot of new nodes,only leaves and sex orgins start where new nodes will be on females,the (balls) bananas that are refered to as the male sex organ is quite distinguishable. there is not much similarity from what I saw. I learned from seeing so many females, that these males tower over females in order to pollinate more than one female at once.this sizing makes a lot sense!

2) smell. not sure if I have super smell but there is a huge difference in the male smell,something like a sweat or pungent male hormone.not sure of others pick up on this but the females have a much more delicate smell...more pleasing to the nose. its like the males all ran a mile and came back to a perfectly bathed good smelling female.we all know that funk males, its evident in these plants esp. when sex organs come in.

3) balls! these balls are so evident,esp. when there are a few. female hairs that come out usually are in singles while males,well the balls stack up,you see more than one ball you know you soon have a murder to conduct..get yer knives out farmers!!!!
some of my females had no sex parts at end of veg, so i had to really rely on flowering bloom 12/12 to determine my females which then caused me to throw two clones reverted back into veg to get my mothers. honestly fellas these regular seeds and picking males is pain in the ass and would only advise this to strains you cant get from others breeders in female seed. for me it was pricing,more plants more room,more money. I ended up getting a nice 50$ sale of 70 reg. seeds. online id have gotten a five pack! see what I mean? cost;. had a huge deal to do with my decision. so mothers would be my ideal next step.
in the pictures include my new clone set up. diy...had a pump from my dwc bucket. made a small container ,cut out 4 circles for small nets,insert my cloner medium into nets with hydroton to keep up right and snug. works great ! usually I do folgers containers for this as well,the small ones. however this time i needed more net pots.!!
at my hydro shop they were not wanting to sell me a manifold because they knew i was building my own,and kept avidly pushing for me to buy this awesome great deal of a hundred dollar cloner. mine cost under 15. they were being real dicks too. oh yours will never work they said,not euf oxygen for em. well what they didnt know is it does work! just as good as their expensive cloner.been using this method for 5 years..while they thought i was experimenting and would fold to their money money maker cloner,I already knew my outcome of diy cloner. just ask my last harvests! hahahaha
left in the garden is 7 females. one too young to really tell,however 6 for sure females with hairs. they are finally gaining weight and more height. some nice training on 2 with 8 tops,2 with 6 tops and one with 3 tops.we will see how much more gurth we can get out of them!

pic before the males taken out.mainly all the middle ones are female.look at sizes,this is what I mean by being able to tell your females to males. my ratio was so fucking bad.! because of heat stress which is a huge part of creating females.no stress or heat problems when growing regular seeds! you must keep it consistant....this is written about all thru the internet!

ALOHA!!!

it has been a hot minute since some updates! new gear, lights and some much needed humidity EZ packs.

first we will start off updating on the humidity,it has been raining like crazy here in the island jungle. let me remind you I virtually live in a rainforest ,however I am located in the city capital ,what we call the concrete jungle!
temps reached the 85-90 percent range in the tent before I moved in a power vent duct fan and a 8 inch 350 cfm fan. not all the power is need at max I have it half way to it's maxed power. my tent looks like a big marshmello...lol my 6 inch carbon filter came in as well,helping me hold down temps.

tried keeping these clones alive and while they flourished from the get go the timing in which how long the plants they were taken from was too far into flower.they are now in cloth grow bags. one gallon. one looks rough the other I will keep around to see if it will actually go to veg mode.

here is what the tent currently looks like. the super fruit is doing well,prob. the best of all of them and will harvest the most. I am really let down by early humidity problems and male to female ratios. due to root rot and humidity problems,I believe this with deficiencies cause the plants to sway to male genes. research shows this exact thing happening when any kind of stress is induced and humidity problems turn to root problems. this all leads to runt stunted plants,which I had my fair share problems in such. the next doing well is unlabeled but my money is on blue god. showing its sativa ish leaning traits.

purp urkle..which Im sad Will not fruit much at all. maybe half ounce tops! sad!

keep trucking along hope these ladies fatten up! they are getting molasses now and also winding down on the nitrogen with heavier feed of bloom!
