315 Watt CMH, and 400 Watt Eye Blue started in 5' X 5' tent but Oregon is cold and tent needed
1050 watt bare bulb MH to keep temps in low 70°'s
Now I'm Vegging 4, plants, growing in FFOF soil, using FF nutes. 2, Breath Works (Grapefruit Breath X Mendocino Breath), 2, Venom OG's.

no bugs yet.

Growing in 7, gal pots. Started grow with what's called tween clones. I'd call them nightmare's. First day they showed major deffs and most of their leaf mass got jacked. It's to cold to grow in garage without heat so I'm in a 24 hour veg cycle. It's crazy, how a 5 X 5 tent can have a bare bulb running at 1050 watts and tent never gets warm enough to start ventilation (76°). Well, plants have turned corner for better and should be ok now. Lots of new growth at new nodes and plants standind tall. Here are a few Pix.

Second set are today, first set were taken on 7th. I'll show a few bulb spectrum's at end. 1st, is 1000 Watt bulb in use now, second is typical 400w, third is Hortalux blue 400w, 4th is 315w 4200K CMH. I hope to start flowing in about 10 days. Cheers.

Update with few more pix. Here are a few shots of the leaf damage I was talking about. Couple of tiger stripes, few gold spots, lots of tufting (think of quilting of bed sheets). It was a rough start. But I believe I've got a handle on this grow now.

Cheers.

Few update day 4 post water/feed. Damaged leaf mass sagging and low energy, while new growth is looking lovely. Patience is needed at start of each new grow, don't panic and just set up your room/tent to be comfortable, and don't overfeed or water. It's hard sometimes to do nothing but wait. Keep an eye on new growth nodes to gauge how you are doing. Anyway, pots are still heavy and two more days of work. Few pix showing growth nodes doing very well.

Cheers

Garage has warmed up enough to switch back to running both a 315w CMH and a 400w Eye Blue (running 420w). Its a much prettier light then the std MH running at 1050w. CMH has a heavier red then MH but MH looks more like daylight. You be the judge. CMH has tight reflector. Std MH almost looks like a HPS. Lol.

Cheers

You seem to have sorted the yellowing, what did u change? Other than that they looking good dude.
Ha, it's just costly bulbs. First pic is 1k MH, light spec is on my 1st post. These are latest and greatest in HID tech. Look at 1st post and all lamps have spectrum shown. That first pic looks blue in person until you see these lamps. Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Here are the three spectrum, left is 1k, blue, cmh.

Ok I've been using hps for 10+ years. I'm no pro tho. I recently bought my first led perfect sun mini to test the waters... but not had any experience with your lights. So will be interesting to me to see how they work out for you.

Power here in Oregon is like 6.5 cents an killawatt hour. No need for led's. They are fun and work good but I'm a bare bulb guy myself. I stopped by your grow and you are doing well. I started with a cooltube too. Cheers

Drive by. Do you know your link isn't in your sig? Always calcium... Even alittle extra when roots get cool like mine in the 'office'.

Yep, phone only, I'll have to find time on one of my kids laptop. Thanks

Good god, these lights rock. Last water/feed was 6 days ago Monday and plants look very fresh. Tent stable at 75°, feed tomorrow.

Cheers

Dude,,,,,,,, you got my hook up..................... All good... Just never before 12 noon or 1 or so............................... Keepem Green

Yep, still got the number, i was thinking of using it here soon. :)

So, its in the low 30°'s and snowing. Therefore, out with the pretty lights and 1K back in the tent. First picture is costly lights, next are all std MH which is actually blue however, new tech is much "blue'er". Ladies fed today, starting to add more nutes. Seagreen @ 1 ml/gal, ffgb(growbig) @ 1ml/gal, ffbr(boomerang) 1.5 ml/gal (end of bottle 1ml/gal normal), proteck, 1ml/gal, ffbb (big bloom) 50ml/4gal. 8gal mixed, ph'ed to 6.5,6.6. With ~5, to7, ml phdown. Ran over ~ 20% to ensure completely stable soil. Few "yellow mh" pix.

Cheers

So, here are the issues I have with these tween clones. Tall enough to flip, but roots not matured enough. Tent is only 80" minus reflector, plus 7 gal pot ~ 15". Only 5' useable space, I'm at 3' now. Ouch. So I topped tonight to give roots a chance to grow. Once flipped all energy goes to flower and all root, leaf mass, growth will stop. If these were seed growth, they would be flipped. Moreover, I'm unable to trim lower branches because they are now cola tops. Nevertheless, plants got topped and one FIM.

Cheers.

Best time to make sure you ain't got any of them bugs... I use Azamax for bugs and I always wash everything before the flip with Green Cleaner... Costy shit,,, but it works for both bugs and PM.

GL and Keepem Green

Thanks, I use simple green too. However, now I'm out of the house, might put up a hot shot for a few days pre flower.

Cheers
