Hi

I have been using LEDs for a couple of years now using the SCROG method to get the most out of the lights i have.

I currently use 4 x 80 LED panels and this grow i will be adding some DIY cobs in the form of 4 x cree cxb3070 led each running at 70watts.

I grow in soil using 12L material pots and Biobizz ferts.

3 x UK cheese
3 x Sensi Star
2 x Belladonna

Currently the room temp is 29-33 degrees pretty constant, i haven't used any Ferts yet as the compost has more than enough to keep them happy for now.

As you can see for the pics i have a tube 20watt heater to keep the room stable throughout the night.

Feel free to ask any questions, we're picking this up with the seedlings being 14 days old.

This is 2 days later, everything is going well, plenty of new growth. I pinched the tops yesterday to encourage side growth for the screens, hoping to be able to add screens and induce budding by the end of next week.

Whole room, from right to left as you see it UK cheese, Belladonna, Sensi Star..

Sensi Star, the nearest sense star had an issue when it first popped from the seed case so was stunted from the bringing as opposed to its 2 sisters.

Room temps between 26-32degrees, not using any ferts yet, no need.

Cheers :)

Sorry about sideways pics, will look into that issue. BTW, i popped the seeds using damp paper towel method. I let the seed stay in the towel until the root is nearly an inch long, i then make a whole using the end of a fine paintbrush into the compost mix and carefully lower the root in leaving the top of the seed just out. I always have a 100% success rate using this method.

Ok 5 days since the last pics, they are growing well as expected, dense stocky plants due to the LEDs with very little spacing between the nodes.

The plants have thick leaves and the aroma when disturbed is very pungent. I havent introduced any Ferts yet although i am planning to later today (a mild bio grow solution).

I plan on inducing flowering within the next couple of days as i want a low carpet of buds and i am not sure how much these strains stretch.

Having 3 different strains is always tricky, although haveing 4 LED light sources does help as you can raise and lower each panel.

The room temp is good, between 29-33 degrees.

Glad this thread has lots of interest!!!??? :) hahahahaha.... I'll continue anyhow having to do a grow report anyway.

The pics arent great but show good growth and very stocky plants. The leaves are a deep dark green.

Ok I'm late getting in. How high are you going to have your scrog screen don? Flowering in a couple days?? Very nice...about 30-days of veg right? Very impressive! Good Luck

Hey Tucker. Firstly thanks. :)

The screens will be about 4 inches from the soil maybe a little higher so i can get under them to keep the plant clean and tidy. Yeah i'm going for about 30 days veg or until there are 4-6 good looking side shoots to train into the screens. I have made 1' x 1' screens which effectively sit over each pot, i can decide the level of the screens by how far i sink their legs into the soil.

:)

Again thanks for your interest.

Put the screens on them today, very stocky plants. Have given them a mild feeding yesterday as there are signs of hunger are showing especially on the Belladonnas.

The screens are modular so i place over each pot, secured by 4 legs that each into the soil.

2 days recovery period then i'll flip to 12 12 provided I'm happy.

Belladonna, The Belladonna is the slowest ATM which is unfortunate as the 2 has to fill the space of 3.....

They look quite sparse when the screens first go on, however they all have 4 - 6 really good shoots so i am confident even moderate stretchers will fill the screen within the next few weeks.

Cheers for now...

Ok, effectively this is day 30 from seed, i have been weaving the branches into the screen for the past few days, the middle 2 (Belladonna) are struggling with lack of nutrients so have started giving them all the standard Biobizz feeding schedule which is 2ml veg per litre water.

I have also removed some branches of each plant for cuttings.

They are growing fine and i have started the fall in light schedule to 12 12, atm i'm on 18 6 tonight it will be 16 8 and so forth until i get to 12 12.

Had some really warm temps in the room, been cloudy here but really warm day and night and i left the tube heater on.......

Pics.

Will put some pics of previous buds up in a bit...

Ok, day 33 from seed.

Put the ladies into flowering mode last night, they are looking great hoping they don't stretch too much as want these to keep a low profile.

The roots are showing through the pots and also look really healthy, i have been feeding them BioBizz 2ml per litre of water and the have responded accordingly producing good growth. Still tucking the tips under and over the screen.

I know, these pics aren't the best i will take some under normal lights soon. Not really much more to mention on these, everything is going as expected.

Thought i'd share a few pics of my outdoor ladies...

I had some cuttings of a friend that i didn't fancy in the end, rather than letting them go to waste i thought i'd try a polytunnel scrog using an old fold up bed...

I also had some seeds, Nebula and Belladonna i believe....... This are maybe 5 weeks old, won't be long until all the outdoor ladies start to flower as the nights are drawing in! Unfortunately this has been a terrible summer and tis last week has seen rain everyday, need a sunny autumn.

Put a foot in to give you an idea of size, the leaves on the girls from seed are HUGE!

Enjoy.

Good stuff! Im also interested in your diy cob keep us posted :Namaste:

I am using ideas i gleaned from the web, each panel is 1m long with 4 cree cxb3070s in them. Just waiting for the aluminium shades to be done which should take a week. I will post up once complete... I'm building a cupboard 4' x 2 1/2', i only have 7' hight. I will divid the height into 2 grow areas and have 2 of the lights in each area. :)

Will you use seperate drivers for each cxb3070 or run them in series? I would like a 3 cxb3070 2ft light 2x3000k and a 5000k in the middle seperate switch veg / bloom but im unsure about drivers , heatsinks, shades, lenses. Btw I found a good aluminum heatsink with fan and even a fan shroud in a water cooler... would you mind if i posted a pic and you could let me no what you think?
