I have cerebral palsy and I have been using Marijuana to help with stiffness and pain since i was 16. It sure beats some of the stronger pain meds and anti inflammatory meds. No side effects and for the most part unless its really cold out it helps. I live in Texas so i have to obtain my stuff illegally. I was wondering if anyone else on the board has cp and if so do u live in a state where u can legally obtain medical marijuana?

Hi Im 26 and I also have CP and use it for pain.. stiffness.. muscle spasms... and it works wonders for me and actually makes living more enjoyable for me. Unfortunately i live in NY and its not legal here either and I don't think its going to for quite awhile

Hi, I have CP and live in NY. I recently started using cannabis and it does work wonders. It is the fastest, most effective, and longest lasting pain reliever I have ever used. It also reduces spasticity. Perhaps the most amazing thing is that the cold weather does not affect my spasticity as badly when I use it. I wish I had known this 30 years ago.

My 2 year old daughter has hemipalgic CP and I hope in time it becomes legal if she chooses to use marijuana for relief. Her CP is mild but over time I understand she will become more tight. Do any of you have hemipalgeic CP and if so, can you explain to me how it feels. When she is so tight, I equate it to the Tin Man in Wizard of Oz. she cannot express to me how it feels and I wonder if it's painful for her. She does PT and OT and has received Botox twice, but the long term effects of Botox scare me. Like I said, I can't wait for her to get older so that her treatment can include pure and natural marijuana.
