Why do people get small roots like this plant was healthy whole grow but very small

Could have been the medium, lack of light, some kind of def causing stunted growth, poor genetics.

I had a great medium and it was a little cold and maybe 12-13 hours of light half it's life
it was like low 40s at night first month started to early btw I'm new here I usually post on grass city

If it was 13 hours from the beginning it probably never vegged long enough to really focus on developing the root system, and the cold temperatures would certainly not assist in that either

It never verged it was apostolic be a white widow auto started budding heavy at 4 weeks never begged at all seedling to bud
