Has anyone regrown a chopped plant?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience or success with replanting a root ball and fully manicured trunk of a plant?

I have seen it done here on 420 .... the guy just left the trunk in the soil and left it in the sun and new growth started right from the trunk . I am sure if you searched the forum you will find that post

I left one in the veg room almost identical to yours pictured and she died after a week or two. Quickly started growing mold on the dead stems. I would leave a little bit of growth on each stem if I attempted again. Best of luck and may she be as bushy as a 1970s German porn star!

Hey Nzwgb: thanks for the thread. It's funny you brought this up, I just put some stems in rockwool cubes last Thursday and put those under the lights. I'll post a picture soon and follow along if you don't mind.

I think it comes back a little tighter and buds are more tight packed. Over all if u like the samples and got some left on it. Saves popping another seed

LOL sorry I read your original post again and I don't have a root ball grow at the moment. But I will follow along, it sounds interesting.

This one was chopped 2 weeks ago already and bud is already curing .... was a great plant unfortunately a unknown strain but strong pineapple taste and I really hope I can get her to grow again to get some clones as she turned out super frosty and very potent

So far no new growth and the plant seems to be trying to re veg and stem tips are rock hard so I doubt new growth will emerge from there

I am thinking of putting a fish bowl over the pot as a humidity dome .... What do you guys think ? Worth a shot ....?

Here is a bud shot from her harvest

I've heard of this. It's called "revegging." I've heard it has better success of you leave a handful of buds and some fan leaves on the stump. Throw the root ball under 24 hours of light for a couple days then go to 18/6. The plant comes back to life with unusual but explosive growth. After a while things level out and start to look more normal. I've heard of a plant being revegged more than one time too!

I do it all the time, I generally try to leave on all the bottom larf but have done it with almost nothing left. It helps if you let the root ball dry out some before chop and then transplant it and give veg nutes so it can stretch out a bit. 24/0 or 20/4 light schedule seems to be the best for reveg. I have 3 different strains I chopped I am revegging right now.

I did this with clones from my flowering plant and it's determined to flower it's outdoor. I've added 2 cfls for extended light since at night since it's Almost November. Will the buds get any bigger or what should I be doing?

This plant looks like it is in reveg mode, that's why none of its fan leaves are complete. Can you show a picture of the pistols as well as a better one of a complete leaf?

Funny you mention this, I was at the dog park a month ago and found the trunk of an obvious pot plant that had been discarded by a grower. The stem was completely covered with little one inch pot leaves and I thought about bringing it home. I ended up leaving it there at coming home and asking questions about it and when I went back the following week at had been removed. My only concern about doing something like that is potentially picking up spider mites in the process..... Subbed I am very interested to see what you can do with this girl.

dude there are no buds on that plant pictured...looks like if you turn back the light to 12 hrs and 12 hrs total darkness,it will start to nug up for you..then you will have buds to talk about....looks like a plant that is confused,,,was budding and got put in over 12 hrs a day light......try budding it out probably be a nice one...keep on toking...oh and be careful of mites...impossible to see em till its too late...neem oil if outdoors......good luck..happy growing...

oh i see its from a flowering plant.....looking good dude....takes longer to grow out if cut during flowering stage....i did same thing if bagseed looks good flowering...i will cut a few off near bottom to clone again.....takes a while to come back to growing and then i will cut during veg cycle to clone...much faster...as far as re vegging....more leafs and areas with leaves the better to reveg.....i done it but a lot of times not worth the extra effort.....unless its a great strain and then maybe worth it all...i clone mine....get a clone mother and cut cut cut....

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that I did take the clone clipping from a almost flowering and because they were outdoor it was determined to flower and so I added 2 CFLs to the mix outside for when it started getting dark earlier and still determined to flower so it was getting cold enough that I just decided to take them inside and throw them under 4 CFLs and all I can say is that yeah it looks like a very confused ugly bushy crazy plant but the good news is that with the light change that it is no longer in such flowering mode it is more vegetative again I'll probably give it a little bit longer get some more of the growth from the bottom up to the top and then I'll switch the lights back to 1212. Unless im Going about it wrong pls let me know :)

Ill,upload some from today but this is,the, other day
