You always start in such a large pot? Just curious

Ever noticed any difference with watering time and root development? Only ever started smaller the repotted 2 times before in final pot

I redid my setup last night cause I normally don't start in such big pots but wanted to give it a try. I have not noticed much difference in watering at all and roots are great.

Ok here is the scoop on what I have going on.


Fox farm ocean forest soil
General organics bio thrive and bio root
300w viper spectra LED's (2)
2 65w daylight cfl's
1 100w daylight LED
Exhaust fan plumbed into the top of tent venting to attic with carbon filter
Small fan hanging from ceiling of tent ever so slightly rustling the leaves

Seeds were just gained by accident. I have no clue what they are.

I had two Nina Limone sprout last night so they will be added to the mix.

Started a Green Crack and Gorilla Glue germination today

Lights are on 18/6 right now and I'm feeding 8oz to each every three days. Water 8oz three times a day.

Big pot is smart pot. Holes have been drilled through out the plastic ones.

Smaller pot to start, I use a Solo cup with slits cut out. Then up pot at least twice before she is in final home. Or make the big jump to final home but stays in Solo cup longer

Perhaps introduce a small fan to occasionally agitate the leaves. This will help respiration and help build a stronger main stem and branches.

Sorry I left that out. I do have a fan hanging that ever so lightly rustles the leaves. I also have an exhaust fan plumbed into top of tent venting into attic with a carbon filter.
