Water HELP!

ok it has been a bit warm the last couple days raising the temp to 90 at times. I have that under control and keeping a strong 80 degrees. No I tested my water level yesterday and I was sitting pretty at 6 now today I went to check on them and yesterday I smelled a sulphur smell that I finally got rid of. Now the water was a little foamy and the ph level raised to 7.8 is that going to effect me in a bad way? I lowered it back to 6.4 for now trying to get at an even 6 by the end of today. Babies look healthy and strong even two that looked sick have even came back to life so they are not suffering too much if at all. I monitor as best I can for a rookie with a budget. I am using a bubblepinics kit. any help much appreciated.

Use cool water (not cold) and feed them in the morning to help combat heat. All I can say about the pH, use what you have to get it to 6.4 or so or try pH down.

Thank you. I think I will drain some of the water and reeplace with cooler water. As for ph I got it down and all is good so far.
