Brown leaves after pruning and feeding

So a few days ago, I pruned my mother plant back to shorten her up a bit and open up the middle. I then gave her a feed and let her rest. The next day, the lower leaves of the new growth tips had began to shrivel and brown off. The dying leaves still seemed to be moist.
