We will be holding our very first community meeting on Thursday May 5th.
It will be held at D.A.R.E. Direct Action for Rights and Equality
340 Lockwood Street Providence, RI. All are welcome to come. With the Compassion Centers in jeopardy and not enough meds for the community. We strongly encourage all cannabis community members to come out and find out how they can help. With your help we can move the hole movement in a positive forward direction! All the while bringing the community together and helping each other. Hope to see a lot of members there. Peace!

Compassion Centers in Rhode Island COULD be in jeopardy due to the Justice Dept. Memos stating that Officials which license Dispensing Collectives to operate will be prosecuted by Federal Law. This is what is happening on the west coast, and is preventing the east coast from issuing licenses.

We, as a community, need to made aware of how the system is suppose to work, as well as WHAT obstacles are being put in our way.

The HAAG MEMO defines where the Federal Judgement Stands...

INDIVIDUALS are not worth prosecuting
DISPENSING COLLECTIVES and BUSINESSES WILL REMAIN PRIME TARGETS FOR DEA ENFORCEMENT.

The OTHER ATTACK is left to the IRS, since Cannabis is STILL a schedule 1 substance, no dealings with such can be associated with operating a business, Federally. So the IRS has launched an attack on the community by NOT allowing ANY BUSINESS DEDUCTIONS for businesses which dispense Cannabis, therefore bankrupting ANY organization at the close of their FIRST FISCAL YEAR.

Due to the FACT that the Cannabis Industry is a DIRECT threat to the Petroleum Industry, the Government WONT remove it from SCHEDULE 1 status.

-AND-

Since the Federal Government HAS PATENTED the known CANNABINOIDS, IF it were rescheduled, all patients would OWE royalties to the Federal Government.

WE NEED TO FIGHT BACK, THE SAME WAY OUR WEST COAST PATIENTS ARE FIGHTING BACK!!!
