male or female question

my plant is about an inch and a half out of the soil...i read on another site you dont want male plants because of seeds and less THC. well how do you tell a male seed from a female?....and does a male plant still produce buds?...sorry if these are easy questions im new at this

nah males just produce pollen sacs no buds dood.

you wont be able to sex your plants till you switch the light cycle to 12/12. male plants have little balls in the nodes shaped almost like acorns.

females have little calyxs with 2 little white hairs coming out.
