Blue Cheese/Cheese strain...confused!

freind of mine bought seeds from a well established company,blue cheese,and straight cheese,in process of veging,the company gave him a freebie!!!!!(so we know where we are!!),he has recently been told that that seeds are fake,and that cheese can only be produced from clone,if so what is the yeild like on a fake,smoke etc......also how do you fake a plant confused?????????,the freebie was a quicksilver......same question about plant,smoke,yeild etc....,

I'm confused who says they are fake? I have never heard of a strain that can only be reproduced through cloning. If you believe it I would contact the company or the breeder as I doubt any reputable breeder or company would sell you fakes and let it stand at that.
As to yield smoke etc, without knowing what it really is there is no way to find out except grow it out and see.

hi mate,yeah i read it on youtube whilst looking up see what they look like etc....,and underneath some one had put"the fake ass weed",so i carried on searching,on another thread someone had put.....the bb cheese is a fake rip off of the real cheese strain....and was no where near as good,and it got my brain ticking....surely noone can fake a plant...(unless growing a tomato plant and told it was cannabis!!!!)was making me think....

its not that its fake is just the original came from clone only from and they had to back cross it with a male pollen from somthing else to get seeds..just like grand day purple or true og kush.... these are clone only strains cus once a clone is found they just keep cloning it and all there is is clones no seeds...but i just ordered the blue cheese soo we will see

thanks lads,seems o.k,bad news is the blue cheese did not happen from seed,shame.cheese seems to growing weird like downwards and across,the quicksilver is flying 3 leaves already,will start a grow journal of the quicksilver,anybody tried this before,it is a autoflowering plant??,seems to be quick out of the blocks!!!!!!!!!!!

So typicaly I dont respond to threads here on the net at any forum but once I read this set of threads on the subject of blue cheese, I had to say write in and set the record straight. And before I begin I just want to say that im very surprised nobody has given you a real and correct answer yet, but it doesnt seem to many ppl on here know a whole lot in depth abt the mj plant. No offense either,im just saying.
So first of all, if u got thr "freebie" from legends which Im guessing you did. It IS a cross of blueberry and cheese, and no it is not FAKE! It is real and VERY nice stuff, trust me.
Second, when someone says a plant is "clone only" what they meen is that at that current time there is only a female of the particular strain around, and in order to get seeds mj plants( just like us humans) need a male and female to produce offspring (seeds). Even though this isnt always true it is for almost all circumstances unless someone has a lot of time on there hands to stress oput a strain in order to make it go hemi and then seed itself(which is usually a bad idea because you will have seeds w/ the predispasittion to be hermaphrodites.....anyway
Third, the blue chz from legends isnt the first or "original" blue chz but it is a cross of cheese and blueberry. With that said, it is a real cheese strain because it has a female(chz)mother and a male(blueberry) father. To say that its a fake strain because cheese is a "clone only plant" is absolutally ludacris and laughable to those of us who know what their talking abt.
Anyhow Blue chz is a great strain! have fun with it, its excellent! And yes I know my spelling is horrible, sorry. Hope this clears things up a little.

I have the Big Buddha Cheese & spent a little time researching it. Ordered it through WW & it came 11 in the BB breeders packaging. There was an article by the original owner of "the cheese" in WW a little over a year ago & another by Big Buddha, if recall properly. You can probably still find it...

Here's the skinny:

The original owner struck some original skunk #1 seeds with some buddies. One in particular stood out due to it's strong aroma. It reminded him of an artificial odor that his father or someone from his past had made; apparently some sort of a chemist for a fragrance co, or something. That fragrance was labelled "cheese". The name took. This original cheese could only be available through clone, and it was an odd-ball skunk #1.

After a decade or so of continued cloning, it lost vigor. He & BB hooked up where BB crossed it with his special Afghan strain. After a few gens of breeding & backcrossing, BB Cheese hit the market. Clearly, this is not the orignal "cheese", which is probably still alive, I would think...?

BB crossed his cheese with blueberry to get blue cheese. About this time, other shops in the Dam started to offer their version of cheese, and probably now blue cheese... haven't been in the market so don't know.

thanks for the reply gio,and who else contributed,after all efforts the cheeses did not happen......pissed off!,shame look like a really good grow,really large buds,decided to go for 2 x lemon skunk,got a free dinafem california hash,got a niggling feeling,the cheese god is poking me in the back of the head...........saying "dumb ass"

Lol, Hey Albert! Im looking at some chz rt now,... maybe, and just maybe, its reading what you did to his brothers, and the chz says that you were right! That was a dumb ass move. lol. But seriously, that stuff is like super de dooper bomb! Ive seen a lot of smoke in my day but the blu chz is my all time favorite, and just maybe thats why (the gnomes)have some rt now.....maybe. lol PS: only pheno I have seen (only had 1 bean, so Im assuming all the beans wont be the same pheno) Is crazy sativa looking but heavy(dry weight), covered in trichs and turns a neon green on lower branches, lavender, and purple color on top pcs in late flower . Tastes of fruit and sugar, smells of grape jelly(just like grape jelly, totally nuts) And also makes xcellent bubble, if u can hang? Can You? lol

I hate not being able to reply to personal messages because I havent responded to enough threads but I guess it makes sense. Its just that Ive been going crazy on this forum since I joined like a week and a half ago. Yeah you right albert, I probably wouldnt want her then, ... I mean how would she do the dishes then.... so anyways I hope this pic shows up, you can see how in the middle its lighter green in the middle and on the left and right theres the dark green and purple peices. This pic is from a cell phone and it makes it all appear the same color, but in real life i gaurantee you they are as opposite as day and night. Ill try and get a better pic up soon, this does it no justice at all

Off of each plant it has a lot more to do with the wattage you actually give the plant... With that said, under a 1000 watt Hps hortilux or equivelent bulb(if there is one) you should be able to get 4 plants that weigh in at about 4 ozs for each plant, Keep in mind thats with Co2 injection, air cooled hoods and the whole works. That translates into 1lb per 1000 watts, in other words ur getting .448 grams per watt, which is certainly acceptable. And could definetally be improved upon if you stake your plants or just generally direct them to be more efficient(taking off small lower branches, making sure all plants are even in height, etc) Ive seen yeilds as high as .65 grams per watt from this strain but I wouldnt expect that from your first grow, or even ur second for that matter unless you definetally know ur stuff, or your just good at following directions and have read dozens of books on the matter.
As far as stretching is concerned, that could pose a problem for some, but if you veg under a MH you should be able to keep the stratching down to a reasonable amount. But it does like to stretch especially if under the warm orange light of an hps.
And I just want to make sure you know that the pic of that purple/red plant is not blue cheese, its actually a photo of a local strain called NoseBleed.
Ansd something I want to add is this, I have had dozens and dozens of people tell me that this blue chees is the dankest they have ever had, and me myself feel like its definetally close if not the best ive ever smoked, and im sure you can tell Ive been around for a while. Ive seen a lot of strains grow and ive smoked even more differnt kinds than that but, for some reason I have had two different ppl now tell me that "it does nothing for me, its good but not the best "...Which me and everyone else I know who loves this strain were left scratching our heads wondering whats wrong with these people... are they lying? or whats up? Most my friends and colleges seem to think that actually these ppl are just trying to get the high price placed on this connisieurs smoke down. This I think is likely but, it may just be that some ppl have different experiences with it, and theres a slim...very, very slim chance that its just not what your into, and you wont appreciate it like I do. One persons personal headstash may be another persons b rated "if I have nothing else" smoke. Its all in preferance, and if you like those debilitating couch lock sativas this may not be your strain, but if you like a super fruity tasting and smelling up energetic sativa like me and so many ppl I knowthis is"the one". Its definetally my "one" its my vice. i love this tuff! Also beware: u smoke one hit to many and this one will leave you curled up in the corner paranoid as hell wondering what happened. Some women (and men) I know feel like its simply too potent. But for the experienced smokers of high thc sativa dominated plants, this will leave you licking your lips asking for more!
Does this help you at all, did I answer your questions?...... oh wait u wanted a high yeilding variety that, oh damn I forgot your question... But if your looking for a heavy hitting indica, the NoseBleed is awesome. You will never find a been of this strain but I would suggest picking up a book like cannabible or even better the Big Book of Buds 1, 2 or 3 and that should help you narrow down your choices. Really its all in preferance and the conditions in which you will have the plant. For example, is the plant going to be outside or inside, SOG or a few tall ebb and gro plants in 3 gallon buckets? My point being there are so many strains too choose from that you really should buy or just read a book on the different strains and their tendecies as well as thier pros and cons. A plant that I feel is great may be different than you version of a great plant. Plus I kinda stear away from a lot of the hyped up strains and try to stay closer to the orinal "kinds" like Blueberry or any one of the Skunks. (and yes I know blueberry has skunk in it, for all of you reading this thinking "why those two strains when they both consist of skunk?"). I also dont do SOG setups for legal reasons, so no Lowryder or Ruderalis hybrids for me.
