I should have added that I had iron deficiency due to high ph, last week. Same thing.
I forgot to ph a batch with silica blast and boom! They started turning yellow then white and I thought I would lose them. I’m not saying that’s what you did but that how I did it.
I didn’t know what it was...
I usually test ph any time I use a new compound. Since i garden outside there’s a lot of different bio agents and fertilizers etc. so just in case.
Most preparations are ph adjusted and it’s never an issue. I don’t know why this isn’t, I wrote them and asked. Maybe they need to do that to keep...
Hi @HawaiiGrower ,
I wanted to make sure there was no confusion. I am suggesting you flush the plant to remove suspect ph liquid. I recommend compost tea. See what happens ina week. I can’t really see a problem, as I said, but if you see yellowing and your ph is off, it can be harder to get...
The reason I suggest you flush out more is that the liquid in the pot is too alkaline. This is can have two causes, maybe you put too high ph in the last warning. Or maybe the soil, has too much calcium, which will increase ph.
A thorough flush will replace the liquid, more or less. So if you...
I’d flush it bit more. If you can get your runoff below 7 you’ll be in better shape. Above 7 you will definitely see iron problems.
You can add sulfur to the soil but that takes months for microbes to break down to sulphuric acid. That might be a long term fix if you have that long. You can...
Here’s a company, super closet.com that makes closed systems, no co2. They recommend their add-on but claim the unit has enough ventilation.
Here’s another, uponics, they have a whole line of sealed units without co2.
That’s just glancing around so I thought maybe someone was using one and had...
That is a valid concern about co2. That picture there doesn’t have co2 ??
I don’t use co2 because it’s not really sealed. It’s pretty leaky. And the tent only stays closed up like that as necessary. I don’t think I could starve the plant from co2. How much do you think they need?
I’ve grown in...
So if anyone lost the narrative thread about this, tempest in a teapot here’s a good diagram from another site called hydro builder.
It shows the closed, recirculating system without venting to the exterior tent, and the, open system which has exhaust.
When my grow room gets cold I pull in the...
That summary explains it well. The scientific reference describes exactly the hybrid I have, high thc x high cbd. There are four outcomes,
1. High thc, low cbd
2. Half thc, half cbd
3. Low thc, high cbd
And the half thc, half cbd is twice as probable. So when I grow my seeds, I’ll get one of...
Zinc and iron deficiency start yellowing at the base of the leaves from the top down. It looks like that may be happening but it’s hard to tell from the pictures. It is caused by too high ph or possibly need iron in soil. It sounds like you’ve diagnosed that much already.
If your runoff is...
