I usually use the rooter plugs after germination, but I always use a heating pad during germination. (One specifically for heating seeds.)

Excellent vid. I'm about to get back to growing after several years, and will try the 18 hour soaking this time. I've only lost a few seeds in the past, but now I wonder if that was because I didn't soak long enough.

Is that a Zen koan?

As soon as I get a couple of things taken care of around the house (water heater, toilet) I'm going to dive in with 2 or 3 plants in the Rain Forest under HID. Should be nice weather until January, and I need to get a crop in. My supply of ready-to-smoke is getting less reliable by the day and...

They should germinate in the paper towels OK. I don't remember soaking mine, but I've only had one not germinate in the damp towel placed in a covered (to keep in heat and moisture) germination station. My problems have always been with keeping seedlings from getting damaged... :smoke2:

It's a great way to keep a daily record of your grow for your own reference later even if nobody else looks at it. You'd be surprised how much your own pics and notes can help in a later grow (you don't remember everything you think you will :smokin: ).

She explained why the boxes were labeled as they are. She also explained that the shipping in the U.S. is contracted out, and (although she didn't mention it) to ship in different boxes or re-labelled boxes would be cost prohibitive for their pricing policy. My neighbors don't see the box labels...
