hey guys, i'm in the 6th week of flowering and today when i was rearranging my plants i noticed that some of my littler ones had a spot or two of mold (or powdered mildew) on the leaves. My plants got bigger than anticipated so they are crammed in a little area and are constantly touching. i...
yes, you can use your tops for clones. the only thing to keep in mind is that 3 nodes on the clone is ideal and the length should be roughly 2-4in in length. Also, i was always led to believe that clones from the top of the plant are a little harder to root then those from the lower branches...
They still have a couple days on em, but i've started doing away with the fan leaves. a whole bunch were picked off before these pictures. but this is what they look like so far. I plan on harvesting possibly by monday. this is my first time, so I'm hoping to do a bit better my next go around.
Yeah, they were all clones. Lavender kush I believe.
Should I flush with just pH'd dechlorinated tap water or should I use some type of flushing additive?
hmm. the riot rooter plugs are the ones with the mesh on them right? i've never used those, but i would advise you poke something all the way through the cube so that the roots will be able to penetrate it and that way you can ensure proper root development. I use the 2" neoprene inserts in 2"...
a pH of 5 is much to acidic. for hydro, the best pH ranges are between 5.5-6.5 with 5.8-6.0 being ideal. if the pH drops below 5.5 or rises above 7.0 then some nutrients arent absorbed as fast as possible. however, the pH for soil growing is different. i believe that should be kept around 6-7.
