    CannaButter In 7 Easy Steps!

There shouldn't be any harmful by-products in your cannabis. If there are, you are smoking them as well. I have heard about some growers using more chemicals to force a bigger yield, but if they don't rinse them out properly, the pot tastes like plastic.

    Tincture question

I sometimes get fresh, frozen trim which is quite wet when thawed. Can I use this in tincture without drying it? Seems tincture may be diluted. I made cannabutter with it using the 7 easy steps posted in this kitchen, but I dried it first. I put it in metal collanders and put it in the...

I am about to get a few oz.'s of trim to make canna-butter. My question is - can I use this method with fresh trim, or does it have to dry first? Fresh trim cannot be put through a sieve or ground up as easily. (I am loathe to use the food processor for grinding it up since all the...

I have heard that folks use vaped weed along with trim and/or bud. The dispensary next door just gave me a small bag of vaped weed, and I get a mild buzz from it. I think if I were going to use it alone, I would probably use 2 oz. to one stick of butter. And, as usual, it depends on the...

I made my pesto with canna-olive oil. Maybe can use water to boil noodles?

I will be making those brownies tonight and let you know how they come out when I eat one tomorrow on an empty stomach. The bud was not killer but so-so, so we'll see. And, I am a retired great-grandmother and do not have any co-workers. I used a nylon stocking rather than cheesecloth, and it...

I don't see why the green color would be harmful - it's probably just chlorophyll.

Okay, so I did the butter and it's as not as hard as I thought. Although I did boil the water in a corning pot and melt the butter in it before pouring all that into an already heated slow cooker, after seeing how well that mixture boiled on high in the slow cooker I have discerned that my...

Another recipe I saw suggests saving the water to cook with: "Keep the remaining amber liquid to cook with, as it will contain residual THC. Use it in sauces or to boil noodles — the sky's the limit." Does anyone have an opinion about this?

I firmly believe that something in the cannabis keeps the butter from going bad as soon as plain butter.

I forgot to ask you if you used the water method in your slow cooker, or just the butter and weed. I have been doing that in my slow cooker, but I heard this water method was supposed to give you a stronger product so I thought I'd try it.

I make olive oil in my slow cooker and use it for salad dressings, etc. I use 2 g of bud for each oz. of oil, and leave it on low overnight. Turns out great!
