I agree the problem is much more likely to be nutrient related. Unlike in an indoor grow environment, outdoor spider mites will have natural predators so should not explode out of control.

I used to hang sticky fly paper to catch fungus gnats and once in a while it drips down a glob of sticky stuff that looked like that. Perhaps something else in your grow happened to fall onto the plant?

Examine the trichomes under a microscope or magnifying glass. They will start off clear then over time turn cloudy, then amber. I would not harvest until at least some of them turn cloudy.
