IMHO diamond-mylar is much better than regular, because it's diffuse: Notice the grey ray, that is all you get from specular reflection (I know, it's stronger but it's not covering your room evenly).

The plant mirrors the rootball, repot into a wider pot (doesn't have to be very tall if you don't want to). It'll make the plant more bushy. BTW: Just noticed you talked about outdoor - sorry I have no experience at that.

36 hours darkness after veg before flowering? That was a new forum-myth to me, the old one was 36-72 hours before harvest. There might be some difference (harvest darkness), but the plant life is about 4 months and I really doubt a few hours extra darkness would do much.
