Denver Fair's Bong, Edible Contests Celebrate Cannabis

Seriously, why bother with a munchies contest advertising Dortioz (trashmark), when you can't spark the joints from the rolling contest? Better off doing dabs at home, eating something better than junk food and not supporting those that would look down on you.

    PH vs Nutes spectrum charts

It should be noted the previously provided charts are applicable to soil. Hydroponic pH charts are specific and the ideal pH for hydroponic grows is usually around 5.8. One should allow a small pH fluxuation. Starting at 5.6 and allowing pH to drift up to 6.0 between reservoir changes...

    Bananas in late flower

Breeding bananas now are we? This only perpetuates an undesirable trait. Strains that produce bananas are way more common now than they were 10-20 years ago due to the growing of bag seeds pollinated by these female staminate flowers. Strains are stressing easier now and there is a trend...

Is my set up bubbling too much, too little, or is it good?

I've tried the flat ones and went back to the cylinders.

Aeroponics and dead Rez using UV water sterilization.

It's been tried with limited results. As always, its about nutrient temperatures and dissolved oxygen. Pythium will live on roots regardless of the water being filtered with UV light. Keep nutrients chilled and floom to increase DO levels. Perhaps add tea. Shouldn't need to do anything else.

    Beginner with some questions

Running any non hydroponic nutrient would result in micronutrient deficiencies and likely magnesium deficiency. If using RO water a calcium deficiency as well.

    Nutrient or tds

TDS = total dissolved solids. This is measured in microsiemens and thru a multiplier can be converted to a PPM (ish) measurement. So 2000 microsiemens can be converted at a 0.5 conversion rate into 1000 PPM. The same reading at a 0.7 conversion would be 1400 PPM. It's always best to...

Water temp for a hydroponic bucket grow?

I wholeheartedly agree. Nothing beats a quality titanium core chiller. Used with a RDWC setup it will keep temperatures constant. I set the chiller a little lower than what I want my plant site temperature. A pretty common chiller setting is 64. Plant sites end up around 66 degrees.

    Uninteruptable power supply - ups

It would need to be a true sine wave UPS. You need a good size backup power inverter (true sine wave) and a matching deep cycle battery back for storage I prefer Rolls Surette 2v cells. Battery bank needs to be in a ventilated area as it makes hydrogen gas when charging. So your looking at...

Sticky mucus on the bottom of my dwc roots

Try beneficial bacterial tea. I like this recipe. 1 gallon RO H2O 1/2 tsp Subculture B 0.5 mL Orca liquid 1/2 teaspoon organic brown sugar or molasses You pop an airstone in this mix and get it bubbling nicely. Let it run for 3 days. This allows the bacteria to multiply big time. I usually...

Any opinions from light rail user/s please

They work well. I have some that are 6+ years old. Clean the track every so often and they run like Jesse Owens. I only use these in veg. Running a mover in flower simply spreads yield, it doesn't really create new yield. I prefer static lights and a really dense fat bud yield as opposed to...

Grab a variac. Electronic speed controls make your motor groan at reduced rpm. Stick with a variac and you'll be pleased.
