The G8-600 - Doc Bud Tries LED Again

Doc Bud, How's life? 2 quickies. (1) Have you had any experience with the Caledonia style air-pruning pots? And (2) if you could find your crystal ball; I believe you illuminated 8 7-gallon pots filled with your high-brix in a CEA environment. Would you guestimate your yield to be any...

The G8-600 - Doc Bud Tries LED Again

Doc Bud, again thanks for your contribution to our body of knowledge. Time for a round or Devil's Advocate. You certainly have outstanding experience, instinct, intelligence and grow knowledge. You've completed many, many grows, intelligently varying relevant parameters over the past five...

    Far Red Spectrum 730nm?

Thanks. Are you fascinated with optical physics or are you a lighting engineer?

Doc Bud Tries The G8 450 LED From Dorm Grow!

Again, great journal. Allegorically speaking, what a difference a day makes. Speaking of which, the G8-90RR LED All Red UFO. In your small grow (by your definition) were the red attenuators tuned to 730nm to decrease the time needed in darkness or were they set to trigger the Emerson...

    Far Red Spectrum 730nm?

Hosebomber, man you weren't kidding. I hadn't been to sleep for 36 hours thanks to insomnia. That was pretty unintelligible. Thanks for the links and not laughing at me too loudly. Growlights, clearly I'm confabulating 2 things. That last link should help me extricate A from B. Are you a...

    Far Red Spectrum 730nm?

To optimize the Emerson effect and trigger the Phytochrome Pfr/Pr state, I like many am in search of a track, be it mechanical or magnetic, to hold a gated or series of LED pucks of opposite polarity dispensing EM radiation at 730nm. What I wish is to have it dim to off over 5 to 10 minutes as...

Doc Bud Tries The G8 450 LED From Dorm Grow!

For years I've been awaiting this tipping point. Hell, it was basic engineering + optical physics so it was more or less inevitable. Looks like we're there. Next time (if there is a next time for you) I would love to see A:B labs as well as your g/W and subjective evaluation. I'd also be...

    Vertical Club?

Most botanists are ignoring the 2nd law of thermodynamics. Trees oriented on the outside of a cylindrical screen in a sort of modified coliseum ScrOG are expending fantastic proportions of their energy bending to the will of the chicken wire as they grow toward their "sun" ( vertical HID...

CEA changes when switching to LED

I've gotten both answers. (1) Adjust To upward to accommodate increased CO2. (2) Decrease CO2ppm to coordinate w temperature demands of a naturally para-equatorial plant. The issue being that if you have a handful of photons from a top-shelf LED panel, you potentially are driving more...

CEA changes when switching to LED

I have well dialed-in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), or a sealed room. I'm Crossing the Rubicon and switching to LED lighting (Lush Lighting to be specific). Are there any changes I should make to my environment? I run on augmented CO2 so no minutia is too insignificant.
