I topped my tree

Well, I've changed the light schedule to 12/12 as of last night to start the flowering stage. The plant is currently only 5 inches high and I hope it will get at least 12'' high since I've read it should double in size. How much bud do you think I will get out of it? Did I switch it over too...

Does it look like it might pull through? Ugh, if not Ill have to get more seeds and soil and that means $. I was really hoping this would work, ide love for it to get bigger and produce :(

UPDATE!!! I stopped watering it so much and turned off 1 of my light fixtures, now i have new leaves at the bottom and what looks to be dead leaves at the top? QUESTION: Should I cut the stem above the new leaves at the bottom so new ones grow or just leave the dead ones alone? I am not sure...
