    Squintygirl's Lowryder First Try 11-08

I'd say water them with plain water until they have a couple of sets of true leaves then increase if you think you need to but not much, especially if your soil has fertilizer in it. You certainly DON'T need fancy ferts. Get used to the growing thing, then figure out how you want to do it...

The Perfect Stealth Plant: Wally Duck's "Ducksfoot"

Re: The perfect stealth strain - Ducksfoot Or they knew when plants flower.... I read that Mdanzig, the breeder behind the masterlow, powerstout, autoflowering AK47 strains, and the new bluestreak, is planning a cross of the ducksfoot to bring it into autoflowering. Since the plants stay...

    Colombian Gold technique?

I've seen the Clarke book. Admitting having read a couple of his books makes me feel as dated as some of the information in them. There is a book - Sinsemilla: Marijuana Flowers (1976), by Jim Richardson and Arik Woods from And/Or press. It pretty much goes over sinsemilla in detail, from...

    Colombian Gold technique?

I'll just say this: If Washington was growing fiber hemp that he was separating the males from, how come he wasn't working in the fields, and made a special entry about his planting at the "muddy hole by the swamp?" Then he goes back to the muddy hole and removes the males! Do you think...

    Colombian Gold technique?

A passage from George Washington's own diary would suggest different, even to the most doubting of Thomases: May 12-13 1765: "Sowed Hemp at Muddy hole by Swamp." August 7, 1765: "--began to seperate (sic) the Male from the Female Hemp at Do--rather too late." So, push that back...

    Purposeful mutations?

Transposons are called "jumping genes." They move about in plants (and people), and really determine an individuals characteristic. These were first written about by Barbara McClintock years ago, when she published her paper dealing with indian corn, and why all the kernels are different...

    Purposeful mutations?

UVB would be the safest way to try and create mutation, at least you can always turn it off. I don't feel like going into depth, but inducing "jumping genes," or transposons, would be another way. But really, are you just saying your pot isn't strong enough?

    Breeding!

Re: Breeding!! Cotton swab gets a second nomination from me. But really, you're just "making seeds." Breeding takes hundreds, if not thousands of seeds, and generations of selection. You're taking White Russian, with who knows how many grand parents, and blueberry, with two grandparents, and...

Using bananas to feminize your seeds

Of course, the silver nitrate/ thiosulfate method will never produce 'hermie' seeds from a true female plant. As far as the banana method goes, I think you'd be better off putting the seeds inside a folded piece of screen in a big paper bag of apples, as far as ethylene production goes.

    Experts... Tryptophan experience?

I don't think your going to get tryptophan into a plant through the roots, or any appreciable amount in through the stomata. It seems that plants do a really good job of making their own, and don't have any shortage. It seems to be as plentiful in plant cells as any amino acid.

The Perfect Stealth Plant: Wally Duck's "Ducksfoot"

Re: The perfect stealth strain - Ducksfoot Admittedly, the fan leaves do say something other than marijuana, but once it starts to flower, it looks just like normal cannabis, according to the pics. Even when looking at the pics, some of the top growth is looking very cannabis-like. It's...

    Beasters

I was reading elsewhere that they were completely dissing the "Beasters". What's the real deal? "They" said it doesn't get you high, just low.

    Purposeful mutations?

GW pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Bayer, makes Sativex. Do you have the patent numbers, or any other information about the process? I'm sure that the "gene gun" process is not used in the production of these plants. For instance, shooting genes into big leaves won't do anything you need...

Schulz Bloom Plus 10-52-10 for flowering?

No nitrogen? Well, so far, so good. I read the Kool Bloom is for ripening.
