thanks haha. Thats a good question and one that my friends and I discuss often... so heres my take on it IF... you are shooting for a particular res temp or a more stable temp then I will suggest running your water higher in the bucket. IF... your room is a stable and good growing temperature...

odd those roots are all brown. how big of an airpump are you using? My res gets so cool the buckets sweat lol. my roots are pasty white .. you know like an alaskan.
