    Thermoelectric cooling solution/Peltier DYI

How large is your DWC? I've used one of these for my mist cloner and it worked very well.

Has anyone tried the Coolworks Ice Probe?

I purchased one of these, because my aero cloner was getting too hot. Usually around 80 or so, while the room would peak around 80 at about 9 hours. The cloner seemed to hold the heat fairly long with it's two gallons of water in it. At first, much like Kamikazi stated, it would only hold the...

Help with venting first grow tent

    1. Not a problem, as long as you aren't venting with too much ducting. 2. I would leave the fan on all the time. With lights off, humidity usually goes up, venting helps keep it down. 3. same as 2.

Closet Experiment - Questions on Lighting & Temps

250 Watts of HPS in that small of a closet will add heat. But you say you have access to AC. That should be fine, with enough ventilation. I use two 150w HPS, and two 85w CFL's in the flowering closet smaller than yours.

    Need Help keeping plant small

WOW!! You just told one of the nicest persons on here to go F'OFF. This will bring a bunch of responses, though not helpful to the OP. You can usually tell if someone hasn't read much through the forum before they post questions. There are small grows through out the forum, just look around...

    Power surges - outages

Rated surge protectors is always a good thing to save HPS bulbs and LED's. A generator is a step up in growing, but if you have constant power outages, a good investment.

    Reservoir temps

If "The Universal Advice" is to keep the reservoir around 68F, then why would you think that doing anything else would be workable? Bassman59 has it right on the button. Lower reservoir temps in a DWC is a must, not just for better oxygen dissolving, but to keep out root rot (not algea as that...

So I started growing again and I need help

Well a four gallon tub for four plants is in my opinion way too small. Transfer them a least to a 10 gallon, better yet, to two 10 gallon tubs. Five gallons per plant is good. You want more space for roots to grow, and less changes per day to the nutrient level. When in late veg and early...

    Arduino based room controller

Yes. I already connect wirelessly to my Arduino running with three sensors and controlling four Power Switch Tails. Here is my processing app running the graphs. These are Arduino's with a built in transceiver in a mini form factor. They should allow me to run multiple boards in the same...

    Processing Screen for Arduino sensors

A screen shot of my Processing app running. It gathers data from my wireless Arduino and graphs it out.

    Arduino based room controller

Just to give a bump on this thread..... I've ordered a dev kit from PanStamp. They should be interesting to work with. I'll post back when I get the kit.

DWC, need some help! - 2sec thread

Re: DWC, need some help! (2sec thread) Humidity levels for veg should be around 50 to 70, higher is ok, though if they are that high I would use a fungicide weekly. For flowering you want below 50, but don't let it get below 30. In DWC you have water brought to the rock wool cubes until there...

Take your stinkin' paws off me, you damn dirty Thrip!!!

I've battled thrips, and it just doesn't look like thrips to me. Have you seen them? It usually takes a microscope to see them, until the infestation is almost too much (you will then see them flying around). Sierra Natural Science has a good Rosemary product or Neem oil is good for them too...
