Advanced nutrients are the best for me. I used GH for years, there is just too much salt build up and it cost more since you have to use more. With AN I can use 1/4 of what they recommend and I get no burn and the plants grow much faster.
re: Is Tap Water OK For My Seeds & Plants?
What about using campden tablets to remove the chloramine? Home brewers use this to remove the chlorine and chloramine before brewing. 1 tablet treats 20 gallons added the day before so it will not kill the yeast.
I've growing on and off since the mid 70's. Back then you could just use some bag seeds since most was Columbian, panama and some good stuff from Mexico I don't know ho to spell it so I won't try. might be Oaxaca. I read in a pamphlet I picked up in Houston all about marijuana. I used their...
I'm trying my last few unknown seeds. They must be very old , I think from a grow that when to seed when I was away. I scuffed then , cleaned in purified water with tween 20 and then plain water , H2O2 and back to purified water. I've got them soaking in a warm spot. If they don't open after 24...
Germination has been a problem for me also. I've been growing since the 70's and seeds were much easier to germinate back then. I've read every book I can find on the subject and ever thing I can find online. Now I just have some seeds left that are 2 plus years old. These seeds are too...
I always have the best clones using a bucket and water pump with mist. I use just plain tap water a little clone gel and super thrive. The areo cloning has been good most of the other methods have failed for me. I might have to try the tray with sphagnum moss it sounds like a simple way.
I bought some seed tissue culture on ebay. The seeds have been init over a month and nothing is happening. Maybe I'll make my own. Just need some more seeds first.
I haven't had much luck with my old seeds, 1 out 0f 20 and then I dropped the filter on it breaking the stem. I will have to get some fresh seeds when my S.S. comes in.
I am having trouble getting my seeds to germinate. I have tried every method, I scuffed all seeds, sterilized them all from the directions for tissue culture. I put some in tissue culture and some in paper towels and some in rapid rooter. One did start sprouting but I dropped the filter on it...
I've been a member a few years. I've grow some hydro in one form or another. I never had good luck with soil.
I had a heart attack in 2010. I just started feeling better last year. I've been trying to get a seed to germinate and I've had no luck. I tried sterilizing before scuffing soaking...
