I have been doing it to keep the canopy an even height. What I do is concentrate leaf spreading on the taller cola's and I don't spread the leaves on the shorter cola's so that they can catch up.

I forgot to answer your question about strains. I am a fan of DJ Short gear. I particularly like his strain "Flo". For me, it's the everyday, go to, strain. I also like OG Kush, Blue Dream, Azure Haze, F13, Durban Poison, Malawi Gold, Super Silver Haze and Deadhead OG.

+1 This is my lifelong hobby! I grow Autos because they are fun and easy! The rest of my growing is in search for the "perfect high" and to check out the different strains of the world!

I would also suggest you check out the strain "Azure Haze". It is DJ Short's version of Blue Dream (if I am not mistaken). I really like Blue Dream, but am excited about DJ's version. I have a 10 pack of his seeds just waiting to pop. Just waiting for room in my flower tent!

Obi, why did you decide on getting your Jack Herer from BC Buds? Any particular reason? I have been thinking about growing some Herer but haven't researched who has strains. In regards to 2016, I plan on growing all of DJ Short's gear and doing some phenotype hunting.

I grow them together quite often. As Rifleman said, the autos are on their own schedule. I like using auto's to fill in empty spaces in my grow area, veg area, etc.
