I'm about to harvest 1 test plant today. Anyone know what hoar frost is? That's what my bud looks like. Yea I hate this igro light, yet I love it while it's working. I'll post a pic once I figure out how to upload one.

Yes I've been waiting for results on your grow. Looking good. How do you like the lights so far? I personally think the reflector itself is a great idea. What kind of temps are they putting out? Any issues not explained yet? As I said earlier, I'm waiting for the new line to be released before...

I'm leaning towards Mars as well. I just haven't come across any reviews of the reflector series, and I would like to see the new line coming out before I make my decision. But I will not buy another single large light. I think many smaller ones would be more sensible

Even the manufacturer doesn't supply a 10 cob light. Think it was a 1 off design that failed miserably and wasn't tested at all

I stopped using a timer as well for that reason. I just set an alarm when it's time to turn on and off. Funny how it will remember the actual time, but won't keep any settings.

Question: did anyone get operating instructions? I didn't. Not that I would have read them at first, but still would be nice to have.

I literally couldnt touch the cord when all channels were 100%. When 8 of my cobs blew I was running 100 bloom, 100 veg and 80-85 grow/intense. I've been running everything @100% for 10 days with 1 issue, but I think that was just a small air gap close to the main cob because I neglected to put...

It wasn't the only problem, but just may have been the contributing factor to the other issues that popped up

I've had no problems since changing the cord. Cord still operates at room temp, heat in light is much lower and tent temps lower.

Interesting Graytail. My only concern is the $2400 to equal a 1000w hid in a 4x4 tent. $1200 for a 270w light is too steep for me.

The "cob" is the center cluster of led. If you look at the design of the lights, there's a small array of lights north, south, east and west. They are all 3w or 5w LEDs. The center is the big one. It's just a 1.25x1.25 inch board with a whack load of diodes. 20 or 25 if I remember correctly...

Sad. Unfortunately I saw this coming and is the reason I didn't send him my light. What a tool. I'm sure you could get cobs directly from ctlite if needed. That's what I plan on doing. Still, this is sad.
