Help! I tried the low & slow drying, got mold!

It’s best to not use jars with the Low and Slow ( refrigerator / lotus method) Also putting fresh bud in jars into the crisper area is not a good idea as the crisper in fridges holds humidity.

DrZiggy's Low And Slow Drying: Maximizing Your Harvest

Best laid plans of mice and men…… As stated before, I don’t like to open n check, I like to set it n forget it for 2 weeks type of soul. Yet at day 5 I’ve been getting weird data from my govee and inkbird. This is the first time I’ve used since lockdown, and it has been moved to an...

DrZiggy's Low And Slow Drying: Maximizing Your Harvest

Just loaded and locked my dry den ( no freezer mini fridge) close to 720 ish grams of fresh harvested buds. I did not wash them as grown indoors with hepa filters. ( I do wash all outdoor grows) I have 4 cans of sparkling water and 1/2 gallon water jug in the door for “ballast” and help the...

15% is about right for a empty fridge. The humidity comes from what’s in it. When you load up the fridge, the humidity will go up. My mini fridge goes up to 85% humidity when fresh loaded. Every time the fridge cycles to maintain the set temp, the cold air pulls out some moisture . I follow it...

DrZiggy's Low And Slow Drying: Maximizing Your Harvest

One of the reasons is because lots DONT have a place WITH PERFECT HUMIDITY AND TEMPS to get a good dry or cure. There is nothing against the “ tried and true” ways. The low n slow is just another “ tried and true” way to get the end results wanted. There are many other threads explaining other...

You are correct. However, I was just focusing on thermo electric wine fridges… As far as the others, you are agian correct about being costly. I have not seen any wine fridge where you can control the humidity, ( temps are way more important than humidity in wine storage) but that does not mean...

No I did not run a small dehu in it. In my mind, that just complicates a allready not optimal system. One would be adding another layer of things that can go wrong. I don’t put fans or dehumidifier or stuff into a my low n slow dry fridge. Not needed. Since most all thermoelectric wine coolers...

Yes I have tried it. The main problems with the thermoelectric ( peltier) wine fridge is They are not frost free Usually very small And Generally, they can only cool 10-15 degrees lower than ambient air. My 2 runs with the thermoelectric wine fridge gave me bout the same or a little worst than...
