Ok, so I didn't get any answers after a couple days. That's ok. I assume there weren't any easy answers ;)
For those that follow me though, here is what I've learnt elsewhere -
1) Squirrel fans are not noiseless but smaller slower ones will be very quiet. You need to make sure any fan you buy...
Hey Everybody!
Just want to say thanks for all the great advice. I learn something new every time I browse the forums. Today though, I'm hoping you can help me with some issues I have with my current grow box setup:
1) I'm forced to keep my growbox away from any outside walls so I can't...
They should be able to handle a little more heat in vegging as that would naturally be late summer time. But be careful because you don't have much difference in the two. If you think you're borderline then it's time to address the issue. Can you add venting maybe?
Very nice grow box. I made one of those once, was a lot of fun and seemed to work just fine. Only one harvest though. Although the grow box in that video kind of looked like it was leaking light at the end, leaking a lot of light - not very stealth?
Over watering and under watering continues to be a problem for me. You could invest in a moisture meter but I've found them harder to read than just testing the soil with your pinky. How do you know when the soil is saturated Droopy? You can't see or feel all the way down?
I thought chemicals were the only way to engineer feminized seeds. Fascinating to learn about the light poisoning method. I wonder if you you can source feminized seeds commercially that are generated using the non chemical technique?
Cypress oil isn't a perfume. I'm not saying carbon filters don't work, they do. I'm sure they are probably the best option. But my suggestion is cheaper in the long term and not only nutrilizes the smell (which the carbon filters do) but also odourizes the space, and room, and apartment, etc. Go...
I find it very hard to source quality soil mixture ingredients in my location. Is there any where you can order these types of ingredients online? I imagine it'd even be cheaper than buying locally and hopefully wouldn't be too heavy in terms of postage.
Looking at the pictures I was going to suggest pH problems, then I read your message and saw your pH is 5.5 - isn't that a little low? I usually aim for around 6.2
Could you post some pictures maybe? That would help us to help you. Growing under CFL isn't normally a problem, so long as the plant tops are close enough to the bulbs, but not too close obviously.
Different strains do smell different amounts in my experience. You can often look up the strain online to get an idea of how smelly they will be as they bud. The problem with gel or carbon filters is that they need to be replaced eventually (assuming you plan to keep growing). An alternative...
Welcome to the forums Lefay! I am a lurker who got the urge to post tonight.
I have visited Holland many times and thoroughly like the Dutch people. May I ask you a question, as someone from Holland who is a grower and has attended the Hightimes Cups - on my most recent visit I googled which...
Hello all!
Can I post international initiatives also? The Irish goverment was presented with a medical marijuana bill modelled on the Californian one this week. It's my hope and the hope of my country folk that the Irish goverment will see sense. There are people genuinely suffering here...
