Once you shoots have started in straight non nutrient soil , how do you fertilize ? That will be sort of like hydroponics .nothing going to the plant except what you feed it .

Hey Pigeions420. I was told to start my seedlings in Pro Mix HP . The Lady the grow store said it has no nutrients .. My question is ,what does the plant live on if not nutrients from the medium I plant in? This time I bought ( very cheap) peat/vermiculite mix. I'm thinking of adding fertilizer...

Are all those tiny little leaves supposed to be left on ? The top photo is before trimming it, the lower one is after we trimmed it off the stalk . We are new to growing ,and read what is on this site a lot .

I topped my 2 new shoots coming from the earlier topping where I had topped the single stem. Wow each shoot has 2 little ones taking off. I'll show a photo od the cut stalks and new growth .

I'm tempted to top one of the new tops to see what happens .

As I mentioned , I topped my 5 stalk plant . now from the cut of top , I have 2 leaders rapidly growing upwards . see pic .. I wonder if each will form a bud ?
