With autos, you’re not supposed to transplant, so you should plant into the final pot. Most use 3 or 5 gallon. Felts are the way to go IMO. I hear air pots are kind of a pain and way overpriced.

I like my air pots more than a normal plastic, but less than my fabrics. If you don't buy the name brand air pots they're less than half the price the originals. They last longer than fabric though and they clean up ok.

@temple balls I have 5gallon air pots and grow photos in coco coir. In hindsight fabric bags would have been just as good of choice for coco but I wanted the rigidity of the air pots, mine are from a seller on a very big site that starts with A, about half as much as the actual superroots pots. If you're growing in soil the air pots are a bigger advantage than if you're growing in coco. If I were growing autos I'd just throw them from seed into a 3gallon fabric pot with some Coco coir and MegaCrop and let them do their thing.

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your feed back.

I will be using coco, ro water (hint of yucca)

The reason for the choice of air pots ...

a. Never used them before interested to see how they perform
b. I want to re use, probably the main reason

I know fabric pots are good but can't be bothered with cleaning to use again.
To waste full to keep buying and chucking away.

So I should go with 20 litres air pot

Fabric pots are super easy to clean and reuse, I have used the same ones for my outdoor tomatoes for years now. I'd go with closer to 12liter for autos. Like I said, they aren't the best but they will work. I'd personally go with fabric pots.

Ok in lighten me, how do you clean a fabric pot easy ?
The lastime after harvest mine where in a right mess.
With plastic pots i just hose off and wipe over with or water mixed with hydrogen peroxide.
Cleaning around 40 to 50 pots

They’re only $10-20 for 6... I usually just buy new ones.

200 pots a year that's nearly £400 sterling a year. The my equivalent to 40 takeaway pizzas

200 plants a year, you should be able to afford it lol

I guess that’s quite the predicament then. That’s a lot of pots. I would imagine you can wash them in a machine. $400/yr isn’t a lot considering the grow. I spend that in 2 months on the electric bill.
