ordered one of these should be getting it in soon and will display legit comparison photos with hortilux super hps about 2.5 months old.

so the initial lumen rating is about 2/3 for the dual arc as the super hps, and the spectrum is only a slight improvement. will less intense light of a better spectrum be better overall?

It'll likely be a wash...or nearly so with those two lights. Light intensity is very important to realizing the full production from your plant. However, all the light in the world won't do any good if you're pumping the wrong spectrum.

If it were me, I'd use the higher intesity light...the rating is right at where you want it...and lumens equal weight.

yea I do plan on keeping up with the hortilux and probably switching in between.

the spectrum output curve of this bulb looks almost identical to that of the super hps, but the price was a third.

well it runs and looks great while doing so = gonna leave it in for a week and let them do a little stretch and grow and then HPS it back up. I'll load up comparison pics assuming anybody is interested.

I don't think so..... long story short don't use dual arcs on digital ballasts. lol..
