Best LED option: Help

This will be my first grow ever......I’ve done some research and im willing to spend around $300 for the best full spectrum full cycle light I can get.
I will be growing about 2-4 auto flowers in a 2.5x2.5 grow tent.
Lights that I am considering:
Timber 2vl
BloomBeast c525
Optic 2
I really like COB lights. Would those be a good idea?
Please let me know if you might have any another recommendations

You can't go wrong with Timber. Consider the 4VS, as the 2VL may not be quite enough for your tent. You could go with the 2VL for the first grow, and add another for the next if you find it lacking. At least you won't have tossed away your cash on a piece of junk like so many of us have done.

The difference is the yellow/green part of the spectrum is attenuated or missing in the blurple lights. Many of us think the plants can use that part of the spectrum. At the very least I find it easier to work under a more natural light.

Would it a better investment to get the Timber 300W Vero (6 COB) Kit?

That depends on whether or not you intend to expand in the future. The four COB will more than adequately light your 2.5' x 2.5' (6.25 sq ft) tent. You want an absolute minimum of 30w / sq ft for LEDs. You can use up to 50w /sq ft. You do want to be able to adjust the intensity.

The high end white light LEDs are much more effective than the mono diodes - simply a better light to heat ratio.


4 COBs or 2 QBs will be just fine for that tent
