Buddy Holly

Buddy Holly, born September 7, 1936 and died in a plane crash Feb 3rd, 1959 along with Richie Valens. Feb 3rd is known as the "day the music died" in the song American Pie by Don McLean in '71.

And one that some might not have caught is the passing of Wayne Kramer on Feb 2nd, 2024. Only one more of the original 5 still around.

garybo, do you remember where you were or when you heard the unedited original version of Kick Out The Jams by the MC5? The version that radio stations would not play.

SW, hope all is well with you.

I was not familiar with the orginal version " “Kick out the jams, motherf–kers”. Had to look it up and heard it today.

Stay safe my brother.

I was not a fan of their style of music but do accept that over those years they did help to put Detroit on the maps as far as Detroit being a city other groups had to include on their US tours.
