Buffered water losses pH?

Mixed up some nutes and buffered the water to 6.3 and I checked it again a few days later and it had drifted up past 7. Does this happen every time will I need to check my nute/water mix every time I wish to water? Growing in ffof/happy frog with general hydro nutes.

Sounds normal. I mix a fresh batch and check PH before each water/feeding. Whatever I don't use goes in my outdoor garden.

The pH of the water can and often will change within a day or two.

Check the pH before each time you water or do a 'combination water and fertilize'.

some nutes can bloom nasty bacteria if let sitting so it’s best to mix small fresh batches each time

10 mil per gallon 128 oz
5 mil per half gallon 64 oz
2.5 mil per quart 32 oz

the above example shows nutes mixed to same strength ratio but just smaller batches.

You said you "buffered" your water though most certainly what you did is correct the pH or change the pH. Buffered solutions are resistant to pH changes. Buffered solutions are what we use to recalibrate our pH meters.
